About this villa rental
Finca La Loma offers everything to make your stay an unforgettable experience. It has all amenities and is beautifully and quietly situated. Hidden between the olive tree covered mountains, it has lots of privacy, and still only half an hour from the beaches of the Costa del Sol.
The finca has four spacious double bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The heart of the finca is the spacious patio, which has a part that is sunny most of the day, and a part that is always shaded. Perfect in winter as well as in summer. On the patio you can sit, relax, lounge, have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On one end of the patio there is a covered area for having a meal or a drink. It connects to the kitchen and the indoors living and dining room.
The patio provides seating for up to 20 persons where you can spend a typical andaluz long evening. Enjoying whatever you prepared in the kitchen, or... enjoying the delicious meals the private chef has prepared for you.
Finca La Loma offers you the possibility to, if you don´t fancy cooking or if you want to be pampered, to have a private chef prepare and serve delicious food for you to enjoy. This can be accompanied by Spanish guitar music and dancing. A real treat at affordable rates.
We also offer daily housekeeping service at an extra. From cleaning to making and changing beds as well as towels.
At a 300 meter stroll away, you will find a quite affordable bar/restaurant, El Molino. It serves lunch and dinner and on a regular basis has musical entertainment. It is closed on Monday.
The mountain Mazmullar, is situated within walking distance from Villa La Loma, and on top of it there are remnants of Phoenician and Roman settlements.
The private pool of Finca La Loma catches the first rays of sun in the early morning and this remains so until the sun sets in the evening. In the sun or in the shade of the Spanish "sombrillas"; - parasols hand woven from pine needles - an often present gentle breeze will cool you down.
With more than 320 sunny days, this part of Spain is perfect to spend vacation time. While back home it is back to sweaters, at Finca La Loma shorts and even bikinis can still be worn.
And for the cooler evenings when back home, car windows have to be scraped in the morning, Finca La Loma has heating in all rooms (at extra cost): Exceptional in the area.
The miles long Torre del Mar beach, lively and guarded, is a 25 kilometers away and offers plenty of entertainment for everyone. An extensive evening and night life can be found along the entire coast from Nerja to Malaga and on to Marbella.
Just a couple of minutes drive from Finca La Loma you can wander around the deserted narrow streets and alleys of the, in origin Moorish, white little town of Comares. Comares has been built on top of a mountain and hasn't changed much in hundreds of years. The fascinating history of Andalusia is still visible in the Moorish watchtower.
The overwhelmingly beautiful cities of Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba all surely warrant a visit.
Granada is only 140 kilometers away, and the trip to the city, taking the secondary roads is an experience by itself.
Malaga is some 40 kilometers away and offers everything one might expect from a modern, big city.
The old part of the city has been kept authentic and invites to a leisurely stroll and to an afternoon of losing track of time on a hidden terrace.
Finca La Loma is ideal for a relaxed holiday but also for a more active, exploring kind of holiday.
Hiking in Montes de Malage, horseback riding (also for more advanced riders), fishing and canoeing on the artificial lake Viñuela, skiing on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada from October up till May, mountain biking, zipping along Spain´s longest zipline, (learning) mountain climbing, street cycling with or without a guide. There are several high end golf courses on the coast; Baviera Golf in Caleta de Velez or Añoreta in Torre de Benalgabon. And of course a variety of water sport activities at the long beaches of Torre del Mar and Caleta de Velez.
Several low-cost flight companies have year round scheduled flights from airports all over Europe to Malaga. Transportation from and to the Airport can be provided for.

A beautiful villa, so spacious, outside space is equally as special as the interior. Kitchen has everything you could need, a chefs dream. Views all around are amazing, different seating areas all with amazing views. Would highly recommend this villa. Our host Linda was amazing and was so helpful with everything and great fun. She cooked an amazing paella for our first evening when we were tired from travelling. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to Finca La Loma.

Shame the pizza oven is advertised but we couldn't usr it apparently because of fire hazard, although neighbouring property had a fire pit in use every night, also the oven had been damaged by previous guests so we couldn't use that or the little oven next to it

Has a week at Finca la Loma. Very relaxing. Well equipped with everything you need. Local supermarket in Comares stocked most things as it’s a bit of a hike if you want a larger one as you need to go back down to the coast which takes about 40 minutes on the windy mountain road.
Lovely views and the breeze up here helps keep cool.
Would definitely recommend and return.

The outside has lots of areas to sit and relax as well as a lovely pool to cool down. The inside has a good selection of utensils in the kitchen area and enough space to store food.
The only downside was not being able to flush anything down the toilets and I think this should be stated in the details as emptying bins is not pleasant! 4 private bathrooms does not mean on suite however they were still fine. Apart from this a great place to stay.
