Apartment Ilha da Gigóia

very well located apartment in a quiet corner on ilha da gigoia. the apartment is functional and gets a lot of breeze which is lovely during the summer.

the room is very comfortable and well appointed and has AC for hot days. the kitchen is functional. I suggest including a sun umbrella or more shade on the balcony to allow guests to really enjoy the space.

We love this location, it is a small island with its own life, residential and pleasant. It can make your stay in Rio a pleasant experience. And this apartment is located on a quiet street too so it was nice to get some decent sleep, and it had A/C too which is necessary especially in the summer.

Sadly the internet did not work well, which complicated our life as we needed to work too. Seems like they have one router for a block of flats, which is obviously not enough and give the prices charged they could spend some more to provide such essentials. Furnishing and equipment is old and just about functioning, but that is not uncommon around here. It has the bare minimum to survive, so it is the opposite of what we'd call 'cosy' or comfortable. We were let down by another property on arrival so we had very little options to chose from.
