Les Flots - Hôtel et Restaurant face à l'océan - Châtelaillon-Plage

The location by beach was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the big windows looking out over the beach and how light the room was as a result.

The bathroom looked a little tired and the was not as clean as it could be (The bottom of the shower curtain was grimy). The receptionist was not very welcoming on first greeting but warmed up after I asked to check in.

This is our third stay and we really enjoy being here. The view, proximity to the beach and the relaxed atmosphere. Bed and bedding are good and the aircon worked well. We loved having the balcony to sit and watch the comings and goings on the beach. And it was a pleasant surprise to have a kettle for our early morning tea. Staff were all very pleasant and professional. A short walk from the free car park and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Our room was very dusty on the light fittings, skirting boards and ledges. The towels are tiny. No hooks on the doors for dressing gowns, hats, jackets etc. The TV was up really high on the wall. Uncomfortable to watch. I had an issue with unwelcome guests in my dinner. The waiter dealt with this effciently and quietly and I had a replacement main course, but no real apology or explanation was given which was disappointing. A bit knocked off our drinks or breakfast bill would have been a nice gesture. Apart from that the restaurant experience was lovely.

Its location is fabulous. The staff were polite and friendly.

The shower cubicle could do with a refit. The doors didn’t meet which resulted in a wet floor.

Location is prime, facing the beach and surrounded by restaurants and cute shops. We were stunned at the beauty of it all’

Formal indoor restaurant (we skipped it as not enough végétarian choices) in contrast to the laid back more informal surroundings.
