About this apartment rental

'' Villa San Giuseppe "

Built in 1600 by the Spaniards on a hill overlooking the bay of Porto Azzurro.
Inside, the first church in the town is created with the bell tower.
In the Napoleonic era, the house belongs to Joseph Rebuffat, who organizes the wedding of his daughter in the church itself.
As a guest of honor, Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte participated in exile on Elba, who "chills under the two carob trees overlooking the villa".
In 1800 it was purchased by Giuseppe Cerboni, an Elban who became rich and illustrious at the court of Vittorio Emanuele II, as the first accountant of the kingdom.
Since then, despite the hardships of the two world wars (German occupation first and then by the allies, with related raids and requisitions), the house has remained the property of the family, which now opens its doors to guests.
Located on a small hill, surrounded by a centuries-old park, the house is only 500 meters from the main square overlooking the sea.
