We stayed with our four kids for a long weekend of skiing at Stowe. The Terrace apartment was perfect. Very clean, very organized, with a lovely common family room heated by a wood burning stove (wood pile just outside). The kids loved their bunk room and we loved our small ensuite bedroom. Jim and Kathi were incredibly welcoming and kind, and encourage our kids to use their sled collection in their excellently steep backyard! Jim called me on checkin day to make sure I had good instructions for getting to the house (it was raining heavily and he wanted to make sure I had no trouble with the road, but also reassured me that he could use his big car to rescue us!). Kathi made sure w we were well stocked in homemade cookies. I highly recommend.

Great stop for us on fall touring. We did note they the posted price for fall foliage travel terraces is less than what we paid.

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids 4yo and 10yo) spent 4 nights over New Years at Kathi and Jim’s cabin. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, maple syrup and a warm, clean lodge. The living area has a leather love seat, 2 leather armchairs, a rocking chair and a futon, with plenty of space to walk around or sit in front of the wood stove. The upper dining area has a round table, another folded table that can be extended and we also had a small table with 2 chairs where our 4 yo set up her play area. There are several games and books, a dart board, flat screen TV with Apple TV and cable. Internet connection was great. Good cell reception with Verizon, poor reception with TMobile. Kitchenette was well equipped with plates, mugs, glasses, silverware, pans and pots. Master bedroom has a queen size bed, comfortable with clean sheets ( we had our own as well due to Covid, but it was nice to know the base is clean). Bathrooms are clean and good size. The bedroom with bunk beds has sliding doors to the patio. We were lucky to have snow while we were there, so mornings were especially pretty with red squirrels visiting us while we were having coffee. Our hosts generously shared their winter gear with us. We are not skiers, but the kids enjoyed trying the skies and snowshoes. We sled a bit in the back of the house and strolled in the backyard woods. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and the kids enjoyed the swing and tree house. We had a relaxing, lovely time and we highly recommend Kathi and Jim as wonderful hosts in a beautiful cabin.
