Extremely enjoyed and rehabilitated

Central location to major attractions in downtown, breakfast was amazing, easy parking access, surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops. Staff are extremely polite and friendly attitude. The view and mountains give great opportunity to relax and enjoy the day.

Great Views of Lake Garda

The location of this hotel affords great views over Lake Garda, Piazza Garibaldi and the rooftops of the town. We found the double-glazed windows very effective at dulling any noise from below. Our king bed was very comfortable and we appreciated being able to have two pillows each. The shower was hot and had good pressure. The lounge area downstairs was very attractively appointed. A highlight for us was the infinity pool. It was a novel place to take a photo with the lake in the background. Overall we were very happy.

The quality of the breakfast offerings could be improved. The stainless steel entry to the pool is quite slippery so you have to be careful getting in and out of it as there are no handrails. Slick appearance but not quite practical.

Comfortable rooms, plentiful breakfast and TOP location with a stunning view.

The beds were very comfortable and the view of the lake was AMAZING! Breakfast had good variety and was delicious. The location was perfect for walking around Riva and getting to the bus stop, ferry and grocery store quickly. Easy walk to the beach area (don't forget to bring water shoes b/c its rocky).

The AC stopped working the evening of our last night. No one was on staff after 8 to assist. It got warm in our room.

Good location, bad service

Great location and beautiful pool and spa included in the price

When we arrived our room hadn’t been cleaned properly so there was an ant infestation, I spoke to front desk about this expecting housekeeping to clean and remove the ants but was instead passed two bottles of pesticide to spray on the ants myself - leaving dead ants all over the floor for the following days. Our bedsheets had quite a few moth holes in them and seemed very old. On our last day (a Sunday) we were woken up at 7.50am by housekeeping entering our room unexpectedly.

Great location, lovely pool and view, but overpriced

Great location, and a lovely pool area. Reception staff helpful.

The air con was terrible in our first room as the location of it was very badly placed under the window. The cool air didn’t circulate and a few others had the same issue. We put up with it for two nights and then asked to move. The reception staff were great and gave us another room albeit not ideal when you have to pack up again and take to another floor. One/two irons in the whole hotel and NO ironing board. Had to iron on the dressing table. Not what I expected for the price of the hotel. Although the pool area is lovely, it wasn’t sometimes easy getting a sunbed.

Wellness, Spa and location is good, workers are friendly

Cleaning woman before checkout knocked multiple times on door if she can clean, like she cant wait 30min. room is not cleaned properly, wallpaper is falling down, ceiling is taped down (All pictures attached). Parking is very tight and the entrance is not very suited for sportcars as the approach is very steep, parking space by itself is good, enough room

The location was great and the pool was amazing. Great to have a properly heated outdoor pool.

location is great, near the lake and righ amongst the old town. breakfast was spectacular with great views of the lake and a decent selection of food. The room was good, decor a little tired, and shower presure low, but otherwise perfectly good.

Amazing location and view from the rooftop pool, but poor interior design.

The location is fantastic but almost all other aspects of the hotel were disappointing. The view from the breakfast room was lovely ... probably the best feature of the hotel. The buffet area was too cramped for the number of hotel guests, though.

The decor of the the hotel is terribly dated (late 80s or early 90s) and is not in good taste. The hotel itself dates from the the Belle Epoque/turn of the century and deserves more dignified furniture from that era (there are only a few lonely pieces in the stairwell) instead of low quality "modern" furniture that looks like it is at least 25 years old.

Location of the hotel is excellent, in the centre and close to lake. I stayed at this hotel several timed in past and was reason why i stayed on this occassion.

The reception staff have a very careless attitude which is such a pity. The housekeeper and staff at breakfast could not have been nicer..The air conditioner unit is too weak for the room size

Once very beautiful and chic hotel that has gone quite shabby

I liked the location: it is excellent. I also liked the fact that the receptionist immediately agreed to change the room because the one we got from her was a) just under the restaurant and was extremely loud; b) was so smelly (the cleaning personnel was using chlorine-based solutions and the smell was like in a public bathroom) that one could not stay there more than a minute. The new room we got was much cheaper than the one we payed for. After some discussion and contact with booking.com we will be refunded.

The receptionist didn't explain us well how to get to the hotel. A superior rom we got - was too loud and smelly. The new room we got was also loud and below the price we paid. The facilities in the room were below the normal for the 4 - stars hotel. The breakfast was another moment of unpleasant surprise - the food was presented and arranged in such an unattractive way that one had no wish too touch it. The terrace was full of birds who freely participated in the breakfast

mattress not comfortable, we were on the forth floor and the noise from the restaurant above was excessive, continued until 10pm and started again at 6am despite the fact that the rooms are supposed to be soundproofed.

Pleasant

The location is perfect: smack in the middle of Riva, close to everything. The rooms are well designed and well kept. The pool is small but functional (i.e. you can sit and soak in it). There is secure parking for bikes

This is not a "grand" hotel, but a pretty regular one in a privileged location. The rooms are nothing special, service is standard. The pool is decorative but fine, but the biggest disappointment is besides breakfast, there is zero service for guests in the terrace: no coffee, no drinks, nothing. Imagine going to the "grand hotel" in Riva and having to bring your own beer from the store at the corner...

amazing location. vintage feel! Amazing views for breakfast and cute rooftop pool. very clean room. The woman on the desk on last day so helpful (sorry should have taken name but she has short hair and glasses!)
