Great hotel in a great location

The beautifully renovated monastery converted into a hotel is the best place to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the small town and the lake. The rooms are nicely renovated and still in good shape. The breakfast was excellent, both in terms of the choice of food and its taste, I especially appreciated the pastries 😋 Another advantage of this hotel is that you can rent citybikes for free. Since there are bike paths around the lake, bikes are great for exploring the area 👍

Exceptional hotel

This is an exceptional hotel. We had 4 very enjoyable nights here. Room was a good size , modern shower, well equipped and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning in the courtyard which had an extensive choice and plenty of staff to ensure that it ran smoothly. Dinner was in the Benedictus Restaurant for 3 nights which was first rate. They have a wide ranging menu from burgers , schnitzels to more expensive fare. The last night we tried the ‘tapas’ restaurant which was a surprising change and equally first rate. The setting is fantastic and the small town is delightful . Underground parking and direct access to the hotel was useful to have as we toured the area each day and knew we had ample parking on our return. Finally the staff were a credit to the hotel , from the lady that cleaned our room each day to the reception staff and everyone that ran the breakfasts and restaurants.

Good experience, all in all

The room was large, newly renovated and really clean, beautiful interior garden, nice restaurant/bar. The location was amazing, right in the centre of the town, near a lot of restaurants, shops and only a short walk away from the lake. I also liked the fact that parking was free of charge.

The hotel was in renovation, the hallways were a little spooky. Also, the pool was small and the water a little chilly.

Clean decent hotel with good value for money

Its so clean and stuff is very polite. We felt like at home unbelievable experience

Door was not fitting into the door frame which was causing loud noise when someone is passing or closing their doors. I find the store curtains from the ceiling very dangerous as you have to lean to open and close them from second floor. Im 2mt tall and it was still hard to manage while leaning 5 mt down It must be electronic ones with switch.

The hotel is very good and located in a historic building. The room was spacious and well furnished. The wellness area has been renovated quite nicely. The breakfast is simply outstanding..

Great spa and close to the centre

The Spa was fantastic, recently refurbished it was so relaxing and made our stay! The breakfast had a wide range of food and was in a relaxed atmosphere. The grounds were lovely and well maintained, car parking underground too. Reception and Breakfast staff very helpful!

Junior suite rooms have small windows (and ours didn’t open because of an electrical fault) but it wasn’t a problem as a lower window did. The bar (well publicised!) was shut for 3 of our 5 nights and we were pointed to the restaurant. sadly the waiting staff there were a bit grumpy so we only went once.

Lovely location and renovation is top notch.

Breakfast was delicious. The free tour was beyond insightful, and really provided a rich history of the castle and the surrounding area. Truly an incredible place.

The key to the castle did not live up to expectations.

I have stayed here before and although was given a superior room. Room given was basic and modern. The bar didn’t open till 8pm which is disappointing as there wasn’t much open in the town either. The restaurant closed at 8pm and only had a few options. Disappointing as I stayed here in March and loved it, also a shoulder season! Room 111 which I was given was much nicer and olde worked. The bar was open and the breakfast was much nicer. A four star hotel I would expect to get a drink. The hotel is impressive but inside on this occasion, found it very dark, oppressive even. There are other options in Mondsee I won’t stay here again.

Super nice hotel and friendly staff

Extremely nice staff, plentiful breakfast, well-maintained hotel. A parking spot was reserved for us upon requesting parking. Dog bowls, dog snack and blanket was prepared in our room for our dogs. Dogs were welcome in all the restaurants too.

The matras was a bit uncomfortable and the bathroom somewhat outdated.

Amazing location and the room was nice and big. Bed was super comfortable and over all a great stay.
