Mostly we liked how all was good organised - hosts quick responses, available informations, self sevice type of accomodation, hosts also helped us with arranging best room for our friend with dissabilities.Furthermore the lake house is so pretty and we could rent SUPs and took a trip around lake. Our friend rented electric boat. Thank you for hosting us!

Passable

The days od former glory od this hotel are long gone. The room had multiple small issues, that were not adressed for a long time (broken lights, door knobs, table on the balcony...). The staff was not helpfull at all. I could not get rid of the feeling, that we are not welcome there. No welcome, no information about what to do, The Beach house was nice, but its use was limited, because the owners wanted to be alone there. Their dog is mostly in the hotel on his own, not well behaved at all, which in case you have another dog or a small child can be a problem. Would not recommend.

Good place, bad host - outrageous behaviour of the lady owner

Clean and big appartment and an idylic beach house

On the webside it's stated everything is self-service check-in etc. Check-in didn't work out (as Eva &Gebhard kindly wrote us by e-mail). No problem. So we didn't expect any contact but when we actually came there was a really uneasant interaction. PART 1 The lady owner was at the door, she didn't even say Hello or How are you or looked at us, she just shoved the papers in our hands. Part 2 When we were at the beach house, just sitting there she came again and with no Hello or Excuse me rudely said The house will close at 19 (It was 18). Part 3 The same day we were at our appartment when we heard a loud continious knocking on the door. The lady even tried to enter but the door was locked. When my husband opened the door she rudly used a high voice like we are 5 years old and attacked us why didn't we close the main door. When we explained her the door was already open when we came she was just surprised, she didn't apologise and just left. Later she gave a big note (as you can see on a photo) on the main door -The door must be closed with no please ...We were really shocked, surprised and dissapointed because the communication by e-mail (obviously not the same person) was polite. The appartment was clean, big and well organised (although we were 3 and got only 2 sets of towels - but we had our one ones). But the approach was totally unprofessional so if you come here because of the positive things just try to avoid this lady otherwise your stay will be definately ruined.

Comfortable hotel on Lake Faaken

The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel’s boat house was v lovely as was the lake. Recommended! Sadly raining during our stay.

Breakfast in room, probably still in place due to Covid rules.You can order fresh rolls and there is a selection of jam, butter on offer. Plse provide small table or tray in the room to eat or even better provide a breakfast outside room.

Comfortable but Challenging Stay

The house is beautiful and we slept very well with the door open listening to the stream. The lake house was a lovely bonus (perhaps the best thing about staying here) for an early morning swim in the See.

We had a very concerning issue with our check in that made it difficult to overcome our first impression and fully enjoy our stay. After a very long day driving and arriving to the hotel at 8pm (the arrival time we outlined), the key to our room was not in the described lockbox. We made several calls, texts and emails with no response and were stuck for over an hour outside, missing dinner and our evening at the lake. Fortunately we happened to finally see the owner and she got us a key for another room (ours was given to someone else), but we were left with the impression that there are some large gaps in communication between online bookings and the owners records. I hope that a better solution can be found amongst the family to ensure that these challenges do not present themselves to future guests because it would have otherwise been a great stay.

Grundsätzlich in Ordnung, aber nichts zum sich wirklich wohl fühlen.

Netter kleiner Zugang zum See, der jedoch nur bis 19 Uhr geöffnet ist. (Wir standen jedoch an einem Tag um 17 Uhr schon vor verschlossener Tür.)

Alles muss selbst organisiert werden, Frühstück zusammensuchen (Eier selbst kochen, aus Kühlschrank Sachen holen, die teilweise uralt sind: Avocados, Äpfel) Das Einsparen von Personal (keine Rezeption, nur eine Reinigungskraft im Haus) wirkt sich atmosphärisch sehr negativ aus.

Sehr schönes nobles altes Anwesen mit schuckeligem Seehaus zum Baden am Faaker See

Schönes altes Anwesen, gut in Schuss, die Einrichtung im Alten noblen Stil passt sehr gut zusammen, ist wie eine kleine Zeitreise. Sehr schön auch das eigene Seehaus wenige Gehminuten entfernt

Selbstbedienungsfrühstück war nicht ganz unser Ding, Kaffeemaschine funktionierte nicht richtig (Milchzufuhr), verstehe die Gründe dafür bei nicht so vielen Zimmern

Rund im wohlfühlen

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön sehr nah am See gelegen. Restaurants sind auch nicht weit entfernt. Direkt um die Ecke gibt es eine Pizzeria und ab 1 km Entfernung gibt es weitere Restaurants die auch fußläufig zu erreichen sind. Der Dietrichsteinerhof ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich. Zum Frühstück gibt es alles was das Herz begehrt. Hier fehlt es an nichts. Alles sehr lecker und liebevoll her gerichtet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Zum Frühstück kamen stets andere Brötchen als wir bestellt hatten. Schwache Auswahl an Wurst-und Käsesorten. Gurken waren nach zwei Tagen aus und wurden nicht nachgefüllt.

Ein schöner Urlaub

Das Ambiente, die gediegene Ausstattung die Lage und das positive Klima. Aussergewöhnlich auch die,Seeruhe dss,Strandhaus. Nicht zuletzt die Herrin des Hauses, eine freundliche Dame von Welt.

Die unfreundliche Nachbarin am Strandhaus, die Eigentümersgattin des großen Campingplatzes, der angeblich dem Bürgermeister gehört die mir freundlich erklärte, dass sei alles ihr Prvatbesitz ist und ich dort trotz offener Zufahrt nicht einmal meine Badesachen in 10 Minuten ausladen durfte. Nun warte ich mit Freude auf die Klage. Urlaub bei Freunden??

Appartement mit Charme

Das Appartement ist größer als unsere Wohnung. Solarium, Sauna, 2 Bäder, 2 separate WC's, 2 SZ, 2 Balkone, wirklich toll, wir könnten uns aus dem Weg gehen 😉

Leider konnten wir die Betten nicht auseinander schieben für die Kinder (13 u 14), daher schlief dann eine auf der Couch... Teilweise die Deko und Einrichtung hat mir nicht gefallen, alles schon älter bzw. Masken u Kinderfotos im SZ... Bissi gruselig

Ferienpension in schöner alter Villa mit Garten - für selbständige Gäste.

Das Self-Service- Frühstück im gepflegten Garten oder auf der schattigeren Terrasse war sehr schön, qualitativ gut und sehr gut organisiert. Alles frisch und sauber. Man konnte Garten und Terrasse auch abends für ein Glas Wein oder was auch immer nutzen. Getränke und diverse Snacks konnte man sich gegen Bezahlung aus dem Kühlschrank nehmen. Auch das geschmackvoll und wohnlich eingerichtete Foyer war als Wohn-/Frühstücksraum sehr einladend - unser Zimmer, das Bad ebenfalls. Und toll ist auch das Badehäuschen am Faaker See, auch wenn man 600 m dorthin laufen muß. Die beiden Betreiber der Pension sowie die Putzhilfe halten sich sehr im Hintergrund, waren dabei ausgesprochen freundlich und entgegegenkommend. Wir fanden die Pension toll und würden sie jederzeit wieder buchen.

Da fällt mir allenfalls der TV-Empfang ein, dafür ist das WLAN gut.

Diese Unterkunft war, was Preis-Leistung betrifft, das Beste das wir je hatten.

Die Beschreibung für das Einchecken, sowie die weiteren Infos war hervorragend. Die Ausstattung des Hauses hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Frühstück war schmackhaft, gut, appetitlich, ausgewogen und reichhaltig („aber nicht Lecker“). Ganz besonders gefallen hat uns, das wir einen privaten Seezugang mit Seehaus und Steg, sowie Liegen usw. benutzen konnten.

Uns ist nichts eingefallen - besser geht es nicht.

Wunderbare Atmosphäre. Morgens frühstücken Sie mit Blick auf den gepflegten Garten und starten gut in den Tag. Frische, gesunde Produkte. Das gedeckte Tischniveau und der Stil des Saals tragen zu einer tollen Stimmung bei. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer lädt zum Entspannen ein! Wichtig: sehr bequeme Matratzen. Schöne Bettwäsche.

Wundervoll, gerne wieder!

Tolle Lage, schön ruhig und trotzdem zentral, alles was man braucht in der Nähe, 6 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof. Am Tag der Abreise wurden wir noch von der netten Dame an der Rezeption an den Bahnhof gefahren, familiäres Gefühl und einfach nur zu empfehlen!
