About this house rental
Newly completed in late 2017, this beautiful mountain home is a true find among Tahoe Donner vacation rentals. Situated on a lovely lot and backing to open space, you'll find it easy to relax into the slower pace of mountain life.
Enter onto the main level where you'll find a great room with a deep sectional and chaise lounge, large wall mounted television, opening onto the backyard forest. Take a hike on a trail traversing the backyard, or sled down the gentle backyard slope. The adjacent gourmet kitchen is open to the great room and fireplace, allowing the whole group to gather.
The home has three bedrooms (two en suite), all with brand new mattresses and linens. The bunk room is conveniently located on the main floor, with the Primary (and its own TV) and junior Primary located upstairs for additional privacy. TVs have their own streaming devices with guest mode to allow you to connect during your stay and erase your logins when you leave.
Year round, end your day with a hot chocolate by the fireplace, or with a soak in the private hot tub, gazing at the forest or at the stars.

Included with your rental are six (6) guest cards providing access to the amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Each guest card allows access for one (1) guest over the age of 3. Daily/non-transferable fee for rental guest per person per day. Children under 3 are free.

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES:

2. Parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. The driveway could be considered steep. 4WD or chains are suggested for all Tahoe Donner properties.
4. There is no access inside the home from the garage. The front door can be accessed via a very short covered walkway.
5. The gas BBQ grill may be stored in the garage during winter months, but still available to use.
6. There is no landline phone. Cell service is considered reliable.
7. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplace is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.
8.This area is under construction. Noise and construction equipment may be present during daytime hours in the coming months. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

My family and I stayed here over NYE 2024. We really enjoyed the layout of the place. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking materials. The entertainment system worked well. Bathrooms were well appointed. They also have sleds and a hot tub. We really enjoyed our time here. Would be a 5-star rating however we had some issues with the refrigerator when we checked in (it wasn't on) and the garage door wouldn't close all the way without being jiggered with. I would recommend this house as these issues are easily addressed.

Our family of five has stayed here multiple times, and it has consistently been a wonderful experience. We love that the home is dog-friendly yet still very clean and well-maintained. The space is just right for a smaller group like ours, and the kitchen is well-equipped for preparing simple meals. The beds are very comfortable, and we appreciate that each bedroom has its own private bathroom. We've always visited in the winter, and one of our favorite pastimes is relaxing in the backyard spa—it's private and peaceful, with a nice view of the surrounding trees. We'll definitely be back!

Contemporary Retreat at Tahoe Donner was a perfect rental. The kitchen was well appointed. Everything worked as intended. The layout easily accommodated all of us. Super dog friendly as well. Would totally stay here again.

The house is well located and well furnished but is just too small for 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. The house is a lot smaller than pictured on the website. The photos show a spacious dining area that is actually very cramped up against the sofa so the bench wasn't used at all. The kitchen is open and functional except there is no pantry or food storage so the counters are completely covered. The sink in the queen bath needs to be cleaned out and the garbage disposal sounds like it has a screw loose.
