Hotel Trosky

Situated at the foot of the ruins of Trosky Castle, this accomodation offers an excellent base from which to explore the region. There are numerous hiking trails nearby, and the scenery is phenomenal. It is a great retreat for visitors interested in nature, hiking and history. The bed was very comfortable, we enjoyed a beautiful view from our room, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The hostel staff were all very kind and collectively did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The atmosphere felt warm, homely, and welcoming.

Upon our arrival, no one was available to check us in, and the accomodation appeared to be closed despite us arriving during check-in hours. Fortunately, we came across a very kind woman who was able to let us in. The language barrier was a challenge at first, but we managed to communicate using a translation app, and in the end, everything worked out well. However, the check-in and payment process took quite a long time and was handled in a rather unconventional manner, which we were not used to. There were also very few available free parking spaces.

Krásný výhled na hrad Trosky, opravdu milý a usměvavý personál. Skvělý kuchař (měl jsem bramborák s masem a opravdu poctivá domácí práce). Motorku jsem si mohl schovat za objekt, kde jsou kamery a nemusel jsem ji nechávat na parkovišti.

The hotel couldn't be in a better location; you can sit and drink and stare at the wonderful castle all day. A one minute walk away and you can get the best sunset/sunrise photographs. The rooms were lovely, the photos really don't do them justice. Very comfy and spacious! The staff were amazing too, especially Mikel, a real legend. He spoke by far the most languages so seemed to be a chief communicator for all the non-Czech guests
