Town: Stokesay is a historic hamlet just south of Craven Arms, famous for Stokesay Castle, a fortified manor house. The River Onny runs through the hamlet and the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is less than a mile away and is a popular destination for visitors wanting to learn more about this lovely part of the county. The A49 crosses the river, forming links with Shrewsbury, Ludlow and beyond to Hereford.
