A nice play to stay but a couple of things to improve on.

All was good and as expected!

Rusty corner shower product wire tray. A stainless steel one with stainless steel fixings would make the shower far better. A lack of a long mirror inside the room. The one in the hallway was OK but the light in the ceiling above didn't work, we were advised about this.

Friendly and very likeable owner, she made us feel very welcome. Near to all local places of interest. Comfortable top notch accommodation at a very reasonable rate. Lovely freshly prepared breakfast in a charming character filled room. Easy parking within secure gates. Recommended.

The spider who built a cobweb across our exterior doorway overnight. As a Postman, I get enough webs in my face whilst at work 😂. Honestly though, nothing negative to report.

Excellent hosts - Natalie and Ray were very charming and made us feel very welcome. Especially liked that the parking was secure, behind electronically locked gates. Rooms were immaculately clean, very comfortable, warm and dry. Very quiet surroundings and bedroom silent and almost pitch black at night - perfect for sleeping. Breakfast was excellent with a wide-ranging choice and excellent fare. Ideal location for visiting Henley.

If one was to nitpick it, would be nice to have a small fridge under the TV counter for milk etc. as, though there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room, the actual kitchen was in a separate building.

Perfect Cottage Stay!

The standard of the accommodation was immaculate and luxurious. Natalie and Ray were the perfect hosts who were so kind and welcoming. Breakfast was a delicious feast and Natalie even kindly drove us into Henley for the evening , recommending places to eat in the town. We highly recommend staying at Handywater Cottages.

Beautiful B&B in a spectacular setting with gracious hosts serving a fantastic breakfast.

Beautiful location and property. Very much appreciated the private patio with great views and access to fruit trees. Breakfast was superb but above everything else, Ray and Natalie were the most friendly and gracious hosts. They very helpful with local dining recommendations and accommodated all of our needs. It was a very restful stay, which we needed after a 17 day trip.

Fabulous stay

The room was lovely with everything you could need and it was fabulous to have the terrace to enjoy a glass of wine on in the evening. Natalie and Ray were the perfect hosts. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice. Natalie was kind enough to wash a couple of bits for us and Ray drove us into Henley one morning. We are so grateful for such a lovely stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Handywater Cottages! Everything is so well thought out - every detail catered for, making my stay incredibly comfortable and stress free. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, peaceful and perfect for a relaxing get away. What really stood out were the hosts, so warm and welcoming and genuinely friendly - they truly cared for their guests and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and I hoping to return next year.

Top notch Henley B&B

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at Handywater Cottages. The owners Natalie and Ray are superb hosts who have invested in creating four self contained ensuite rooms in the grounds of their traditional period home. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a high quality mattress, quality bedding and a modern shower room. The communal utility/kitchen area benefits from a fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and eating area which would be useful for longer stays. Our room benefitted from its own patio but there are other seating areas in the garden. Parking is free, spacious and secure behind locked gates. Breakfast was excellent and is served in an atmospheric dining room in the main house. Highly recommended

Relaxing stay, beautiful location

The cottages are beautiful, pristine and in an idyllic location. Natalie took good care of us, even offering us a lift into town. Breakfast was great, served in a nearby room, where some of Natalie's handiwork is displayed. We loved the fact that it was just a few small cottages and on our second morning we chatted with some charming guests over breakfast.

We thought that it was actually an advantage to be slightly out of Henley-on-Thames but this may be the one disadvantage. We enjoyed walking back to our cottage and actually it's located beyond the sign for Chilterns area of outstanding natural beauty.

The property is quintessentially English heritage, probably the main house being 500 years old, but modern in every aspect of modern day comfort. The host, Natalie, is so attentive and runs the business with precision, however, always with a smile. She is the business and that’s why she can claim rightfully its five star.

We walked into town every day. It was about a 1.5mile walk. Lovely walk, and weather couldn’t have been better. Nothing to do with the property, but for about the first 400-500 yards there were no sidewalks. Very sketchy walk to the actual path, but Natalie was more than happy to drive us if we asked.

Quite simply, the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Natalie and Ray are such lovely people and made us feel special. The accommodation was superb. the attention to detail was second to none. We were lucky enough, on one day, to have good weather to enable us to eat outside in their beautiful garden. Natalie's breakfasts were wonderful using the freshest products and always cooked to order. They both went above and beyond in catering for our needs. Very highly recommended.

Idyllic Cottage with Fantastic Host

The room was lovely with views out to the orchard and hills beyond. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good selection of cereals and cooked food, all of which was prepared to order. Nathalie, the owner, was very welcoming and even provided lifts into and from town as part of the service. The property is a couple of miles out of town, but peacefully located, and with the free taxi service, it didn't matter. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
