A wonderful stay in Pushkar with a lovely host. We were welcomed with some local biscuits which were tasty. The place was spotless, comfortable and had a reliable hot shower which is always a plus. Our room came with a kettle, tea bags and a fridge, which was really convenient for our stay. It was spacious and easily one of the nicest accommodations we’ve experienced in India.

We were really excited about taking a cooking class here (hence the name!), but unfortunately it was out of our budget as backpackers - priced at around 2,000 INR per person. After checking other cooking classes in the area (we were quoted about 700 INR per person), therefore their price felt considerably higher, which was a bit disappointing. Dinner was also on the expensive side at 450 INR per person, compared to the 150–200 INR we usually spend in India, so we didn’t end up trying it unfortunately. Laundry was similarly pricey, charged per item, whereas most places nearby charge around 100 INR per 100 kg. Overall, the prices felt a bit inflated compared to the area and in India in general. If the costs were more in line with local rates, we would have loved to do the cooking class and eat at the homestay - then we probably would have rated it a full 10!

We love the homestay. The owner is thoughtful. Provided us a ginger lemon honey tea and in the rest of my trip I felt much better!
