About this cottage rental
This quinta is situated in the center of the parish of Facha, at 6 km from Ponte de Lima, on a lovely hillside with view to the Lima valley.
The quinta, chapel and farm were once owned by the parish teacher, who taught school in the main room of the house itself. The architecture of the house is in the style of a wealthy farmer's house, and has been enlarged three times over the centuries. It is adjacent to the section of the Camino de Santiago which pilgrims use to walk between Porto and Ponte de Lima.
Today this househas regained its ancient splendor, having been fully restored as part of the Rural Tourism system, offering to groups of up to 10 guests the completely contemporary accommodations of its 5 double rooms, several common rooms, a garden and a large swimming pool in an idyllic setting.

Casa muito bonita e bastante bem situada para quem quer fazer umas férias calmas e sem barulhos das grandes cidades. Agradeço também ao proprietário da casa pela sua simpatia e disponibilidade para tudo o que fosse necessário.

Fabulous villa and pool.. quiet area of northern Portugal 15 minutes from ponte de Lima.. good local restaurants and interesting local markets.. plenty of river swimming and only 35mins from the coast with lovely pretty wild/ windy beaches. Villa itself very comfortable air con welcome..very good facilities comfy beds and plenty of towels. Immaculately clean on arrival. Lovely hosts who kindly provided wine port and pastries as a welcome. Also very good source of local info on good eateries and swimming..we were two separate families and house worked really well to preserve privacy- all bedrooms have own en-suite.The pool was large and fabulous and garden beautiful and full of orange lime and fig trees. Surprisingly few mosquitos/ biting beasts..pool quite deep which may be minor issue if little ones coming.Really cannot fault this place ... stunning.
