The layout of the place was great - always somewhere to sit or lie in the sun or shade. The view was spectacular with amazing views of the bay and wooded hills. The garden area was well maintained with loads of beautiful butterflies. Nice outside area with decent pool for barbecues with a good range of utensils. Everything you'd need in terms of utensils for the kitchen were provided, as well as a toaster, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine. A very warm welcome from the host's mother, who very kindly gave us olive oil, dried figs and fresh fruit from the garden, which was really appreciated.
A serious issue with mosquitoes meant we all got very badly bitten multiple times and unfortunately, despite being mentioned in the list of facilities, there were no mosquito nets (or, what would have been better, insect screens on the doors and windows) and the mosquito plugs were pretty ineffective (as was insect repellent!). We understand that it was the end of the season but there were a number of repair issues which needed addressing - doors not closing (including the outside door of the separate downstairs section, which would only close if locked) or getting stuck closed (the upstairs bathroom), air conditioning not fully functioning in thirty degree heat (and not available in one of the upstairs bedrooms), shower fittings unstable, and one of the beds collapsing (it did not seem to be properly connected together when investigated). There was no microwave and the gas hob was really only one main functioning ring (the secondary one was too small for most cooking and couldn't accommodate two large pans), which meant cooking dinner for five was very difficult.

Great location in a quiet and peaceful village. Excellent outside space including a pool and a bbq and a decently equipped kitchen. Owners were very friendly and nice and always happy to help. Fresh figs and other produce available in the garden. The separate studio downstairs worked well for our multigenerational family holiday as it meant that our granny could have a quiet space to herself to relax. Lovely views from the terrace.
One of the bedrooms upstairs didn’t have a proper aircon, only a fan, which was a problem in the heat. The downstairs studio’s floor was peeling a lot so probably needs a refresh.
