This is a lovely property high on a hill overlooking Sanxexno (sahn-SHEN-show). Starting more generally, it's a great location for exploring this part of NW Spain. The beaches and numerous restaurants of Sanxexno are about a five minute drive way. I suspect few will want to make the steep climb to the house back from the beach, but there are two major parking garages near the beach. Other spots to explore -- like Pontevedra and Combarro -- are an easy drive. The house itself is perfect for a family or small group. The main floor has a living space, kitchen, bathroom, a large bedroom, and a quite small bedroom. Upstairs is an open loft with plenty of room for reading, working, boardgames, sleeping, etc.One side of the living room is effectively glass, mainly comprising sliding glass doors that lead out onto a large deck. A copse of trees front the deck and thus provides shade, privacy, and the house's main description. Aside from some lovely flowers and ferns and a trellis of grapes, the property features a classic example of an hórreo, a type of antique granary ubiquitous to the area.It was hot outside during our stay but shade and cross breezes kept the house comfortable. The house was clean and had everything we needed as far as amenities including reliable wi-fi, a dishwasher, and clothes washer.Finally, the property manager was quite genial and responsive. It's a great place to stay.

We hebben een prachtige vakantie gehad in Galicie. De streek en omgeving zijn werkelijk fantastisch. Ook het huis op zichzelf is erg leuk, vrolijk en eigenzinnig op een positieve manier. Eenvoudig maar wel comfortabel. Schoon en netjes bij aankomst. Prima Wifi. Op loopafstand van Sanxenxo. Contact met de eigenaar verliep fijn. Echter er zijn ook wel een paar dingen die ons wat tegenvielen bij aankomst. Op de foto's via deze site is er duidelijk zeezicht. Inmiddels zijn de bomen echter zo groot gegroeid dat van zeezicht echt geen sprake is, helaas. (de foto's op de site moeten erg oud zijn). Dus op terras genieten van het uitzicht is er niet bij, je zit tussen de bomen. Dit vonden we echt erg jammer. Verder is op de foto's ook niet te zien dat het huis is ingeklemd tussen twee wegen die best druk zijn. Dus we vonden het niet echt rustig en moesten erg wennen aan het verkeer, recht onder de veranda. Het wil niet zeggen dat we geen fijne vakantie hebben gehad, in tegendeel. Het is op zichzelf een fijn huis in een prachtige streek. Maar we hadden het gewaardeerd wanneer de beschrijving van het huis hierin nauwkeuriger en vollediger was geweest.
