About this apartment rental

Comfortable and cozy apartment of about 50 square meters located along the main road in the historic center 5 minutes walk from the first beach and 10 minutes from the railway station and therefore very close to the main services such as: pharmacy, supermarket, bank and post office, public garage in payment) .It consists of a private entrance, a beautiful living room with sofa and fully equipped kitchenette including fridge, washing machine, oven and further microwave oven, as well as a double bedroom, bathroom with shower and hairdryer and finally a lovely terrace on the which can be accessed both from the living room and kitchen and from the bedroom. The latter overlooks the main street called via Roma. The same terrace is equipped with table and chairs and awning to enjoy some dinner in peace. In addition, the apartment is equipped with fans with remote control both in the bedroom and in the living room and of course flat LCD TV.
Free wifi, 'topographic' map and train and boat timetables are available to customers.
Update: From 1 March in Monterosso the 'city tourist tax' has entered into force, amounting to 1 euro per person for the first 3 days maximum.

This was a great place to stay in Monterosso. Location was very close to everything you needed. Clean, comfortable, with wifi and best part a balcony that was great to enjoy a glass of wine. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Great little patio to have coffee in the morning. Spacious, clean and comfortable for 2 people. We hiked all 5 villagesmore from our doorstep. Seconds from the beach. Noisy at night, but its to be expected. Small grocery store across the street, to pick up supplies.

We had the best time staying here! The hosts are friendly, supportive, and wonderful to work with! The accommodations are meticulously clean, quiet, safe, and provide everything we needed. From the amazing water pressure in the shower, to a washing machine and kitchen complete with everything one would need, to the soft and luxurious bed (there were even embroidered pillow cases), we felt pampered. Our favorite spot was the beautiful balcony. We loved the accommodations and the city! I cannot wait to return! I highly recommend staying here and working with the owners.

We were returning tourists to Monterosso and chose to use this location as our Cinque Terre base. We stayed18 days in this lovely apartment. The location is perfect near grocery store, pharmacy, bank and in the upper part of the Village in the neighbourhood. The apartment is as shown in the pictures with such a welcoming feel as you enter. It is clean, has great water pressure for showers, comfortable bed, plenty storage and quiet. The jewel on top was the good size deck accessible from Bedroom or Livingroom. The owner Augusta lives in the same building and was available whenever we needed her. A lovely Italian Lady whose English is about the same as my Italian. So communication via WhatsApp worked perfectly. VRBO top ranking is 5 and we would giver higher if it were possible. Obviously we would return and also recommend you stay here when planning your trip to Monterosso.

We enjoyed our stay in Monterosso! Augusta and Francesco were very welcoming hosts, meeting us at the front of the property and showing us around the unit. Our apartment was very comfortable and stocked with all the little amenities from home. We appreciated having a washing machine to do some laundry. This unit was situated in the perfect area on the main street just down the block from the shops. It was in perfect walking distance to everything. We would stay here again.

Karen and I absolutely loved our stay at the lovely apartment on the old side of Monterosso. Monterosso was the crowning glory on our beautiful 3 1/2 week visit to Italy. Augusta's apartment was adorable, very clean, very spacious, and beautifully decorated. It felt like home. The bed was super comfortable.The location was perfect with just a slight incline up the hill to a very quiet neighborhood above the hustle and bustle of the touristy area of the beaches and restaurants.

Small but comfortable apartment for two with everything we needed. Enjoyed being out on the balcony for meals etc at any time of day. Nice old town vibe. Easy walk to/from station. Small grocery store and a nice coffee shop/ bakery just a few steps from the apartment. Just sorry we had to shorten our stay due to the rail strike.

We stayed in Monterosso for five nights. The apartment is in a perfect location. An easy 10 min walk from the train station! The apartment is clean, quiet and has an amazing balcony to enjoy dinner and a glass of wine on it. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

We stayed 12 nights in beautiful Monterosso and enjoyed all the days. Our apartment and Augusta were great. So close to everything including Laura's, a great pasticceria so close for morning croissants stuffed with cream! Grocery right across the way. Augusta is very responsive and responds thru What's App. We loved this apartment. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. We would stay again! Thank you Augusta.

The apartment is located about 1 kilometre from the train station but is fairly easy to access. It’s is a reasonably quite area of Monterosso away from the main tourist flow but is still very handy to all the bars and restaurants. The apartment is perfectly sized for a couple with a good size bedroom, plenty of cupboard space, lounge/dining, small bathroom and kitchen. All perfectly fine for a short stay. The small outdoor balcony was a bonus. Most things worked fine although the shower drain seemed to be blocked causing the water to take some time to drain. We also discovered the main oven didn’t work at all however there was a microwave available. Generally a pleasant place with a very responsive and non-intrusive host

Spacious and clean with a nice balcony to hang out on. The apartment is located less than 5 mins away from the beach shore with little shops and restaurants along the way. Good shower pressure and washing machine worked great. Augusta was available for any questions if we needed her. There are about 25 steps to climb to get to the apartment door, so keep this in mind if you have accessibility needs. Overall, we loved our stay in Monterosso! Would highly recommend!

This rental is nicer than the pictures depict, the location is great. I am a woman traveling alone and the building is very secure. It is on a popular street so you won’t feel alone coming and going. Augusta was lovely, but does not speak english so need to communicate via email or app with translation. Thank you Augusta!

Apartment was in excellent location in Old Town section of Monterosso. Greeted by hostess who greeted us warmly. Spent 3 wonderful days visiting all 5 villages using the train and hiking trails. Ate dinners at 3 different restaurants that all served excellent food with outdoor seating at reasonable rates. Final day took ferry for great views. All around outstanding experience.

My friend and I had a nice stay in this cute but spacious one bedroom. It is located just at the end of the busy touristy part of Monterosso which afforded a nice escape but extremely close access to beach, shops, and restaurants. It’s about a 15 min walk to the train station. It’s a relatively flat walk which we were grateful for compared to the other 5 towns that were quite hilly. We enjoyed the patio overlooking the street. The apartment itself is nice, not modern but everything worked and the place was stocked with everything we needed for a 4 night stay. I did notice some ants on the bathroom floor but otherwise the apartment was clean. It can be noisy in the early morning with dogs barking. Nothing some ear plugs can’t fix. Even with these minor issues, I would definitely recommend this apartment and would happily stay here again.

This place was a perfect spot for myself and my friend who came to do the Cinque Terre hike. It’s about 3/4 a mile (easy walk) once you get off the train, and Monterossa was the best town to stay in IMO. The apartment was the perfect size for the two of us- very clean, accessible, comfortable, and right in the heart of town. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I came back!

The location was marvelous to enjoy Monterosso al Mar. Comfortable walk to/from train station side of the town. Great hike to Manarola. Visited all 5 towns with train pass, easy/peasy. Great beach experience laying in lounger chairs-sipping a mai tai, temperature of the mar was wonderful. Highest recommend.

I came for 4 days with my mom and we had a great stay in Augusta’s apartment! It is so good to take the breakfast on the terrace! The place is quiet and well situated, 5 min from the sea. Augusta and her son are very reactive and kind. Thanks for everything!

A great little apartment for two people. It's located on the main street in Monterosso but far enough away from the noise. The small terrace is perfect to sit outside, drink limoncello and watch the world go by. Signora Augusta is a wonderful hostess.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Monterosso. Check in was made very easy and accommodating. The owner was very friendly. We loved to location in the part old town and in the evenings it was great to sit in the patio and enjoy some wine and relaxing conversation about our day. We really enjoyed this area and it was exactly what we were looking for, but my rating would have been better except that we did not have ANY hot water during our stay and despite repeated attempts (3) I still haven’t heard from the owner. Also the apartment is advertised as having air conditioning, when it clearly does not. Renters should be made aware of this.
