Vashon Island's lighthouse station offers weekend and week-long stays in the two renovated Keeper's Quarters. The two residences share the beach with the lighthouse and other features of the historic light station. Both residences are available for rent throughout the year and offer groups of up to six adults a wonderful way to enjoy the beach, the Puget Sound, and Vashon-Maury Island.

Keepers Quarters A at Point Robinson Light Station is a modest three-bedroom, two-bath, two-story bungalow perched near the lighthouse on the shore of the East Passage of Puget Sound. It offers a wondrous porch looking out over the water and, on a clear day, you'll be able to see Mt. Rainier and sometimes, pods of orcas, too!

This is our second stay at the house, and it was perfect. Cheryl was great to work with when coordinating the details, and the on-site property manager quickly resolved an after-hours request. The house gives a beautiful view of the beach and water, where we enjoyed watching the world go by. We also saw a few river otters playing nearby - what a treat! The kitchen is filled with just about everything you could need, the beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets provided. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much to the staff that manages the property - we truly appreciate it.

Our two day stay at Keeper's Quarters A was wonderful. We enjoyed short walks on the beach where we saw a seal and two river otters and spent evenings in the cozy home playing games. It is a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful.

From beginning to end, this adventure was amazing. My hubby and I have stayed at the lighthouse before and enjoyed it, but sharing with friends was the best. We were all in awe of the beautiful house and the view. Being there during storm only added to the adventure. We even saw a pod of whales. Amazing.

We enjoyed the mixture of old style and modern conveniences. The house was clean and comfortable. The view was marvelous- we had two gorgeous days to enjoy a front porch view of the mountain. Sunset and sunrise were amazing. The caretaker next door is very nice and helpful. We enjoyed watching otters and seals in the water as we sipped our coffee on the porch. Wonderful getaway with the family.

The location is A-MAZ-ING! You are right on the beach with a lovely porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the view. Elderly mother could sit in the shade of the front porch while adult children beach combed and kayaked right out front. We did bring a few extra beach chairs (which we used outside and also in the living room to add estra seating on movie nights) and of course our own kayaks. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious enough to accommodate the many helpers during meal prep. Appliances are all in good working order and full size making it easy to whip up meals and store food for 8 people. Fans were available for those days/nights that were hot and loved the new windows with screens that opened easily to let in the evening breeze. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

The home is spacious. It was great that each of us could have our own room and a kitchen to make tea and food. We loved sitting in the living room and saw bald eagles, otters and a seal. It was also a treat to have Oscar the Bird King troll in walking distance. The quiet made for good sleeping and it was wonderful to spend time with friends.

Vashon is a beautiful island, but being able to stay in the Lighthouse Keepers' Quarters was a highlight of the trip. Super comfortable house and wonderful waterfront porch with rocking chairs for soaking in the view and scouting wildlife. We will be back!!

We got to be lighthouse keepers for the weekend and the experience did not disappoint. Highly recommend! The caretaker was kind, the house was historic and comfortable, and access to the property after dark was a special treat (the trolls as INCREDIBLE). The only downside was the crowds, but we were grateful for fence giving us a little breathing room.

We stayed at Pt.Robinson because we needed more room for family in preparation for my mother’s memorial service. I had always wanted to see inside the lighthouse keepers’ cottages, having visited the beach many times over the years. It is nothing short of magical! We rented both properties and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Porch sitting, hiking, kayaking, marine activity, lawn games. Easy family time together. Access to great grocery store or restaurants. Just slow and easy family time. Caretaker is helpful and unobtrusive. Staff of Vashon Parks and Rec friendly and helpful. Captain Joe of the lighthouse a gem of a human.

What a location, you just can’t beat that anywhere! We looked straight at Mount Rainier all weekend. It didn’t hurt that the weather was fantastic, but we would have been happy in the house anyway. We spent the afternoons just relaxing there. The front porch, the picnic table on the side, the living room – all the spaces were wonderful and comfortable. Dining room and kitchen are nice. Good beds too! Thank you for this wonderful place!

The location is absolutely beautiful. We were able to watch the storms and see the wildlife - eagles, otters and seals. The place is very well equipped for a family gathering. They even had a lit Christmas tree which made the front room very festive.

This place is an amazing location, easily accessible by ferry from Tacoma or Seattle. The picture window in the living room is the highlight, but this location is well equipped to entertain all ages any time of year.

This is a unique property. The old house has been updated, yet it maintains its character delightfully. It is right on the water in the midst of a park with wonderful views of the Sound (and seals). Even though we had smoke on one day of our visit, and rain the next, we still enjoyed it a lot. Good friends, good times. The only problem is that the staircase is fairly steep with high risers; the handrail is sturdy, though, so it was fine.

Everything was the best. This lighthouse keepers cottage had everything we needed and more. Beautiful location on the water and a great location to explore Vashon Island. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Another surprise was the unseasonal 80 degree weather. Who expected that happening. Really nice getaway with friends.

The house is old so it is creaky, but that only enhances its charm. The view of the water is almost 180 degrees with a view of Mt. Rainer, boats floating by and lots of wildlife. Tranquil and worth every penny. Bring board games for nighttime fun!

We've stayed at Point Robinson Keeper's Quarters at least 4 times now, both in Quarters A and in Quarters B. It's always such a relaxing getaway, even though my husband could still commute into work in Seattle! We needed to have some storm windows removed because it got warm for the first time of the year while we were there, and Eric and his team responded very promptly.

I grew up on Vashon, and always wanted to stay there. We only had to travel for an hour to get there, and it felt like a special and unique setting. We saw porpoise, orcas and harbor seals. The 3 days we stayed were a vacation from a cold and wet May, the weather was beautiful.

We enjoy coming to Vashon Island and Point Robinson park is so fun. So we decided to rent the Keepers quarters. The house is comfortable and has everything we need. We enjoyed exploring the beach, agate hunting, and time playing games. The beds are very comfortable. The porch rockers are perfect for a nice morning coffee while listening to the waves. The best part- the beach is just steps away…
