Step right out your front door and onto your dock. Nestled in a quiet cove beneath stately pines, Lakewood Cabin, is the perfect three season refuge for you and your family. With one queen bedroom and an easy to use futon the cabin comfortably sleeps 4. Well equipped full kitchen and lakeside grill and picnic table make preparing and enjoying meals and treat. If provisions or simple food is needed local favorite, Fraternity Village Store, is within walking distance at the end of Pond Road. Easily explore neighboring Belfast, Camden, and Rockport, all about a 20 minute drive from charming Searsmont. Dogs welcomed upon approval and additional pet fee.

It was SO much more than we could have hoped for! The cabin is adorable, everything was beautiful, indoors and out. And quiet, so peaceful... plenty of shade for hot days, plenty of sun for cool mornings. All the furniture was wonderfully comfortable, including bed and futon-- and amazingly great lighting for cooking, reading, everything! The wi-fi (alas) works perfectly! And the wildlife does too--- we enjoyed a loon visit and serenade upon our arrival, and almost every day--- along with lots of hummingbirds, osprey, chipmunks, squirrels, white breasted nuthatch, robins, crows, chickadees, deer, and much more. Thank you again, Wendy, for the instant replacement of the coffeemaker! You get the most-responsive-host award! And thank you, again, for a truly beautiful place.

The views were very pretty but the cabin would benefit from some maintenance. The moist air caused some mustiness and the mattress was hard. If you are looking for a semi rustic Maine experience, this fits the bill. It’s well stocked with tools for cooking and cleaning and was clean. It’s located where you can take day trips to lots of sites to see and things to do.
