The hotel Is well located, postcard pretty and tastefully decorated for Dias de los muertos. The gentleman who welcomed me went above and beyond to help me and really made the difference

Our stay at Hotel Mi Casita was incredible! The 'Studio with Balcony' room was such a charming and beautiful room with an amazing view of the Santa Prisca cathedral. The room was serviced each day to replenish our towels and soaps, and empty the waste bins. The hotel was in an amazing and convenient location—one short block away from the zocalo/cathedral. Before checking in, the staff were quick to communicate, very accommodating to any requests we had, and the check in/out process went very smoothly.
The booking process was a little strange at first—after booking, the hotel reached out requesting a deposit payment via wire transfer. I understand why they would ask this of us but it was a little off putting at first. Ultimately the hotel didn't end up requiring this of us, so it wasn't a big deal at all.
One other small thing—the hotel didn't seem to have an office or lobby that you could visit in person in the event we needed anything, and that felt a little strange. Despite not having an office/lobby to visit, the staff was quick to communicate over WhatsApp, so this also didn't end up being a big deal.

The room was a good size and had all of the basics - towels, shampoo, soap. We were also given a fan and the room was clean.
There was no bottled water in the room, which has been given in other hotels we’ve stayed in in Mexico. There was no safety deposit box.
Also, to flag, the hotel is adjacent to the plaza of another, much larger hotel. There was a wedding happening on the plaza the night we stayed and music was playing very loudly (the windows of our room were vibrating) until 1am - it’s unclear whether this is a regular occurrence, or if we were just unlucky, but perhaps something to bear in mind if you’ll be staying on a Saturday.
