Ferienwohnung Rabenbauer - Schwalbennest

We were a little out of town and having no transport we relied on our feet quite a lot and got plenty of exercise. sometimes we thought too much, but the scenery was delightful as was the fresh air. We cannot complain and enjoyed every minute of our stay even if we did get lost at one point on the first night, but that is another story. Our hosts were charming and friendly, Anna and Sebastian took the time to chat with and get to know us and it was all most agreeable. Loved every minute of the whole week we were there. A lovely quiet location, peaceful and relaxing and just what we needed. Thank you

Andy and I cannot think of anything that stood out so much as to make us not like anything to complain about. We already knew that we would have plenty of walking to do and happily that's what we like both like doing so nothing to complain about. Actually those little black flies made a feast of our blood but we cannot attack them personally.

Difficult access by car up a narrow Winding road , location not well indicated on Google. If driving From birchtesgaden toward salzburg, on salzburger str, turn in at bergwerkstrabe, crossing bg river and,look for hotel salzberg. Turn up the hill toward stangerweg, haus angerer. Make sure you arrive at least an hour before sunset in case you make wrong turn and need to find your way again up narrow roads Once you get to the top, you have great view and home base. Not near eateries, so be prepared to cook, bring home food or bus/ drive to town . Need to carry luggage up narrow stairs to level 3

Sebastian and Anna were amazing hosts. They made our stay that much better. We spoke with them frequently and they gave us tips about the surrounding area. The room itself was very nice and clean and had everything we needed, including a kitchen where we made breakfast every morning. It's out in the country, but only about 2-3 miles from Berchtesgaden. We like it peaceful and quiet, and this comfortable little place was just that!
