Smy Carlos V Wellness & Spa Alghero

This isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. At best, it's a 3 star hotel and that rating in of itself is questionable and only admissible because of the SPA and location. Bar staff are rude (I think it's been mentioned before). All items are overpriced - you could get the same for half the price if you walk down the road to one of the beach caffes. Breakfast was incredibly average and overpriced at 15-20 euros a head. The room was stuck in the early 2000s and carelessly cleaned. TV had to be bought some 15 years ago. Kettle had limscale. The shower had low water pressure - it felt like I was showering with a sink tap as a shower head (actually forget that, my tap at home has much more water pressure). Do not expect good service, it gets two stars for that. Thinking about getting a sunbed - come out nice and early! On the plus side, it had nice views, the swimming pool was decent, access to the spa was nice (although again, overpriced - be wary, you'll have to pay for use 45 to 100+), the location was really good, with easy access to the centre. Would I come back? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it if you're willing to be treated like shit but have access to nice views and easy access to the city, YES! Do yourself a favour, browse elsewhere. If it helps, I've reviewed hundreds of places on Google reviews, so trust my word.
