An interesting hotel. Should have done more research

The breakfast was delicious and the staff very attentive and friendly. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. Reminded me of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Able to bring own food and wine in despite this being a bar hotel. Lunch sold at the bar was nice.

FLIES! So many of them. It’s next to a working farm so if you tend to get bitten, be warned. We were bitten about 20 times between us despite use of sprays. We read the public use the pool in another review here but we didn’t realise this hotel is basically a fancy pool bar catering to 50-100 private visitors per day. The pool seemed small when there are 40 pretentious young adults sitting on the edge trying to like cool. They also host event nights where they have DJs play loud house music until very late. The room we had was nice to look at but the beds were too hard. The air conditioning did not cool the room much it was very hot in August. The fridge never got to a cold temperature over our 3 days. We reported both but neither were fixed. Avoid if you’re in a young family. Teenagers will probably love it. I imagine locals understand what they’re getting into but foreigners are in for a surprise.

Enjoyable and fun albeit not what we had expected from the website

Breakfast, staff and location. Poolside lunches and animals nearby (donkeys, peacocks, geese)

wasnt aware that hotel opens pool and gardens to non-residents. Very busy at weekends with whole garden crammed with young (well ebhaved) crowd but not relaxing and restful which is what we hoped for. Nonetheles we did enjoy staying there.

Everything was beyond our expectations from owner who is really friendly, house, backyard and front yard. How well maintained is all. Quietness of the place and they have dog name Buddy who was playful with children, MUST GO!

Amazing hotel!

Breakfast is the best in Italy. Amazing atmosphere for relaxation, excellent conditions for families with children. The design of the hotel refers to African motifs, which is very unusual and interesting. Great pool, pool bar has delicious snacks and cocktails. Aperol Spritz costs 3.5 euros! Someday I will definitely come back to this hotel again :)

The property is lovely and rather unique : on the outside, it is a typical ‘casale farm’ with a beautiful garden, a beautiful porch, a little swimming pool and a bar. On the inside, there are many tasteful furnitures from Kenya, with vintage touches of the classic sixties. This unique combination makes the setting very unique.

The outdoor living area under the porch. The size of our family suite. The reasonable distance to go explore Verona and the Lago di Garda by car.

Beautiful place. Great people.

Beautiful house with a great patio. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast very good. The pool is also accessible by people outside of the Relais but there was always space for us. The pool area has lying chairs with mattresses, larger beds, swinging gazebos, and a great bar. All you need for a relaxing refreshing dive at the end of your day !

Sometimes there were a lot of people in the pool and some groups were a bit noisy, but the staff took care of them. Overall, this was not such an issue.

An alright stay between Verona and Garda

Pool ang garden was nice

Odd welcoming attitude. The booking.com booking hadn't come through so we weren't expected and were welcomed in a slightly uncomfortable way. The attitude from the staff was formal and ok but i wouldn't describe it as warm, which has been my experience with all other agriturismos.

Very good

Nice but different location that is well taken care off. Swimming pool and garden are being used by external quests during the day. We enjoyed the softer but good quality bed. Bathroom was also fine. Own parking lot with enough space. There are many restaurants in the nearby city.

No fridge or coffeemaker in the room. Airco a bit noisy and outdated.

Little hidden gem!

The breakfast was simply amazing - fruitplatter with all sorts of fruits (passion fruits, pineapples, strawberries etc…), eggs, fresh croissants, cold cuts and cheese, fresh juice, coffee of your choice, spreads, yoghurt. Deeeelicious! The wifi spread well to even our furthest room. The decorations are amazing. Pool water clean and the area kept tidy. It is not too far from Peschiera del Garda, Borghetto. But you need a car definitely to get around.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and squeeky but nothing intolerable. The linen and towels were changed daily, which was very good.

Cozy stay

The hotel has a very nice decoration and installations, breakfast was delicious and employees friendly. The bedroom very clean and the shower was great. The pool area was also very nice though open to the public outside the hotel as mentioned in the reservation.

Ich war begeistert.

Ein toller Platz zum entspannen. Beeindruckendes Anwesen/Gutshaus mit sehr professionellem und total freundlichem Personal. Pool ist öffentlich und tagsüber rappelvoll mit einem bunten Querschnitt der italienischen Gesellschaft. Ich dachte am Anfang, dass es stört, wurde aber an einem ganzen Tag auf meiner Liege eines besseren belehrt - tolles Schauspiel mit Menschen, die jederzeit Kontenance bewahrt haben.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und spontan für die Rückreise wieder dort gebucht.

Es war einfach alles stimmig. Die Unterkunft verbindet italienisches Flair mit afrikanischem Lodge-Stil - ohne irgendwie kitschig zu sein. Sehr angenehm. Das Haus ist familiengeführt. Das merkt man. Sehr angenehm. Und das Frühstück war hervorragend. Keine erschlagende Vielfalt, aber alles hochwertig. Wir hatten eigentlich für unsere Italienreise nur eine Übernachtung bei der Anreise gebucht. Aber es hat uns so sehr gefallen, das wir auf der Rückreise wieder dort übermachtet haben. Wir waren als Familie mit 3 Kindern da. Etwas früher im Jahr hätte man den schön angelegten Pool nutzen können. So haben wir nur am Abend auf der überdachten Terrasse im Stil einer afrikanischen Lodge gesessen und auch am Morgen nach dem Frühstück mit einer weiteren Tasse hervorragenden Cappuccinos. Der Garten ist für sich genommen einen Stop wert. Es gibt herrliche Nachbildungen von Giraffen, Elefanten und Löwen und manches mehr. An sich empfinde ich es immer als Manko, wenn es in der Unterkunft keine Nespressomaschine auf dem Zimmer für einen ersten gemütlichen Kaffee im Bett gibt. Aber hier freute man sich stattdessen auf den sehr guten Cappuccino beim Frühstück! Herrlich. Das unser Appartement und überhaupt die ganze Anlage gut gepflegt, sauber und nicht abgewohnt war, sei der Vollständigkeit halber erwähnt. Und die Betten waren sehr angenehm. Wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen! PS: im Ort Villafranca gibt es ein Automuseum, welches wir leider aus Zeitgeünden nicht besuchen konnten. Aber der Prospekt sah vielversprechend aus. Beim nächsten Mal ist das sicher eine Option.

Ein besonderer Ort mit außergewöhnlichem Außenbereich, sehr gutes Frühstück, aufmerksames Personal.

Der Außenbereich. Mit viel Liebe von der Nonna zu einem kleinen Paradies verwandelt. Wenn keine externen Gäste da sind, ist es ein wunderbar ruhiger Ort für Entschleunigung (wenn externe Gäste da sind, eher das Gegenteil, dann ist es trubelig. Aber das hatten wir nur an einem Tag, der glrichzeit den Abschluss der Sommersaison darstellte und bei herrlichem Wetter auf einen Sonntag fiel -> es war sehr voll. Während der Sommersaison würde ich also davon ausgehen, dass man nicht soviel Ruhe hat. Da die Anlage aber sehr weitläufig ist, kann man dem Trubel aus dem Weg gehen, indem man ein Daybed im hinteren Bereich nimmt, der weiter weg vom Pool im eher schattigen Bereich unter den Bäumen liegt). Sehr gutes Frühstück! Frisches Obst, Croissants. Auf Wunsch Eier, Käse und Schinken. Die Nonna backt super leckeren Kuchen und ist, auch wenn sie bereits an die Tochter übergeben hat, noch immer in alles involviert. Aufmerksames Personal, viele aus der Familie, die auch dort lebt. Kater Oscar und Golden Retriever Buddy sind Teil des Betriebes. Drei Esel und Zwerghühner gibt es auch. (Man muss wissen, dass man in der Einflugschneise des Flughafens Verona liegt, man bekommt also startende und landende Flugzeuge mit. Uns hat es nicht gestört).

Zimmer sind doch ein bisschen einfacher, als es auf den Fotos rüberkommt. Aber der Afrika-Stil ist auch hier durchgezogen und die Zimmer sind individuell. Wir haben ein Dreibettzimmer statt eines Zweibettzimmers bekommen. Ich hätte lieber etwas weniger Platz/kein extra Bett, das wir nicht gebraucht haben, gehabt, dafür aber ein renoviertes Bad. Aber das ist nur ein kleiner Minuspunkt, denn wir haben die Unterkunft geliebt. Während der Sommersaison muss man wissen, dass der Außenbereich des Relais für externe Gäste gegen Eintritt geöffnet ist. Dann wird es sehr voll. Wir hatten Glück, da wir gegen Ende der Saison da waren und das Wetter etwas unbeständig war. So war unter der Woche gar nichts los und wir waren praktisch alleine am Pool. Das ist aber nicht selbstverständlich.

Ein wunderschönes Ambiente

Eine wirklich wunderschöne Unterkunft in traumhaftem Ambiente. Die Zimmer sind recht klein, aber ausreichend. Alles ist mit alten schönen Möbeln ausgestattet und recht sauber, aber trotzdem recht einfach gehalten. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten in der gesamten Anlage zum hinsetzen und verweilen. Die Gartenanlage ist sehr gepflegt und wunderschön. Die Lage ist recht abseits von Verona, aber alles ist gut erreichbar. Tagsüber ist der Pool auch für fremde Personen außer den Hotelgästen zugänglich. Aber alles ist ordentlich organisiert und es geht recht ruhig zu, da es gehobeneres Ambiente ist. Die Poolbar bietet ausreichend Getränke und Snacks. Allerdings wären hier gerade für Abends kleine Gerichte wünschenswert. Zum Essen muss man ein bisschen fahren, aber man findet etwas. Das Frühstück ist absolut super. Es ist alles so liebevoll hergerichtet und es gibt eigentlich alles warmen mag- Käse, Schinken, Obst, Eier, frischer Saft, Croissants, Brötchen, Kuchen, selbstgemachte Marmelade uvm.

Die kleinen Zimmer und das es abends nichts zu essen gibt.
