Authentic and calm place

Exceptionally calm, beautiful, and authentic place. Very well equipped kitchen, stunning view, very friendly and helpful host, and many opportunities to hike. It's also worth it to just stay in the surrounding area to relax.

Perfect for hiking !

It was the highlight of our very long holiday. If you aren't afraid of hights and love hiking, go for it ! We will come back, for sure. Thank you for the very warm welcome, I'll never forget it.

Nice and helpful host. The object was much better condition than I expected. Inside was like new. We could use shared fridge, microwave, some kitchen equipment etc. You could buy a local beer and some other things if you like. We were wet and there was a very efficient heater that helped us. Very nice scenery, silent. There's sauna but we had no time to use it

For me was perfect, maybe beds little bit too hard. Some people might not like that's remote from the "civilisation", no car access!

A wonderful place with a great host. The place is very clean and the food is great.

Everything went great. The host is a great, warm person, always paying attention to your needs. Food was awesome and worth every penny.

As we were two persons, a double bed would have been nice, instead of the 2 next to each other, although the stay was comfortable. The place could benefit by adding some insect protection nets at the windows, so you could leave them open for more and avoid window sweating. On the other hand, we found no insects when we received the room. Also, I think some extra shelves in the room would have proven useful. I have no real minuses for the place and it was nothing that ruined my experience, but there is always room for improvement.

It is an amazing place with a welcoming host and great local breakfast and dinner if wanted. We went there for a few days hiking vacation. There are trails for every level with a lot to discover. Scenic views, waterfalls and idyllic villages...

Amazing view. Even better than what we had already seen from the picture. The host was great, very friendly and helpul! And the food he prepared for us was delicious! Could have not been better :) I can truly recommend it. Also for families with kids.

Not only just a place to stay, it was really an experience.

Hospitability - the host Egon was just amazing. Very thoughtful and attentive, always made time for us, gave us hike suggestions, cooked for us, chatted randomly. It felt like being over at a friend's place! Setting - do you know Kurast docks from Diablo 3? Like this but so much nicer! A few old but beautifully renovated Ticino-style stone/wood houses surrounded by a forest, where at night you really feel the power of the nature. Facilities - sauna and jacuzzi to treat yourself after a hike and during cold evenings. Amazing breakfasts and dinner from local food. House 1 (ideal for bigger groups) has its own fireplace and really well equipped kitchen (better than my own kitchen...oops!). Not much use for me now, but the "Business center" is modern and ready for office meetings (a bit surreal in this village/mountain setting:))

Cannot think of anything much. But to write something: if you get to stay in House 1 (separate house), you might be sharing the bathrooms/kitchen/dinning room with other groups. So better check in advance with the host if you plan to have a romantic stay with no people around. (but the group that shared the accommodation with us was very cool).

Séjour exceptionnel pour qui aime solitude et montagne

Les questions précédentes ne s'appliquent pas vraiment à cet endroit, en effet ce n'est pas en ville ni dans un quartier mais en montagne après 1h30 de marche pour y accéder. L'endroit est magique, des maisons en pierre qui étaient utilisées l'été pour les bergers faire paitre les chèvres et faire le fromage. Donc environnement très simple mais vue magnifique sur les montagnes. l'accueil d'Egon chaleureux et passionné, des moments de calme et de tranquillité exceptionnels. Le petit déjeuner au soleil face aux montagnes, le dîner dans la grotto avec un repas de produits locaux. Bons marcheurs nécessaires et belles randonnées à partir de cet endroit

Unglaubliche Lage und Erfahrung in Maggiatal

Tolles Essen, Egon war ganz hilfreich und konnte regionale Küche mit sogar viele Produkte vom Ort vorbereiten. Unglaubliche Lage. Wanderung war steil und eher 2 Stunden von Brontallo, aber gleichzeitig sehr schön. Transport wäre aber mit Zusatzkosten möglich.

Einmalige Landschaft, Rustikales Ambiente

Die Lage war fantastisch! Allerdings muss man gut zu Fuß sein, aber das geht ja aus der Beschreibung hervor. Und das rustikale Speisezimmer war schön. Egon war beim Essen bemüht.

Für das Wetter kann Egon nichts... Allerdings könnte man ein paar Scheite Holz mehr auf legen, wenn es so kalt und nass war, wie bei uns. Die Mini-Heizlüfter bringen nichts. Für das Wohlbefinden wäre etwas mehr Ordnung im Speisezimmer schön gewesen. Das Essen war nicht besonders üppig für den Preis (46 Euro HP/Person) und manche Frühstückszutaten lange abgelaufen.
