Casa Lucena

I really enjoyed that bedrooms were downstairs ( perfect light fir sleeping) and kitchen plus living room area upstairs. Also three bathrooms with toilet is amazing solutions for two families.

Going from Burriana Beach to Casa Lucena you need to be aware that is a good workout:) for me great especially mornings. In my opinion Casa Lucena can be difficult to walk for the guests with health problems.

Great location at easy distance to the beach, 5 mins from a big supermarket and close to restaurants and cafes. Two balconies with nice views over the hills and the sea. The pool is around the corner and always clean. Property is well stocked with what you need, including games and books. Parking could be done free in front of the apartment and there is also a small garage with extras stuff like chairs and pillows. Staff were very responsive to questions and helpful with any problems.

We had no problems but due to the many steps this is probably not ideal for people with mobility issues.

The location was really good, the villa comes with a private parking, a swimming pool that is common and in a very nice area. The rooms were fine, each room had an AC and the living room was also good, with the terraces and the sun beds being okay. We didn't have any problems there so it is a plus and the kitchen had almost everything you would need.

Beds were not very clean, when we arrived we were surprised of their state. The rooms were not master, so no bathroom was inside the rooms but each floor had one bathroom, with the shower in the middle one, while the upper floor had only a toilet and the lower had a bathtub and a shower head. There were only two sunbeds although the villa fits 6 people. The kitchen smelled bad when we first arrived, I think it was cleaned with vinegar or so. All in all it was fine, but the cleanness was our concern even in the upper floors, also there were no shampoos or so, and each bed had only one towel and one smaller face towel.

They will look for reasons not to give your deposit back. One of the paintings that hung above a bed fell off the wall and could have injured someone. Because of this, I took the hanging mirror off the wall and lent it against the wall instead, to avoid it falling and breaking. After we left, they cited 'loose mirror' as a reason for not giving us the full deposit. They also included a picture of a chair that was already broken, a single grape that was missed when we cleaned up and pans being in poor condition (clean but obviously not new?). It is very clear they do this with every guest. We left the place very clean, and I took photos of it just incase. So if you are staying here be very careful... The place is fine but it is not worth the stress of dealing with an attempted extortion when you check out. They ended up giving us the full deposit back, but after arguing back and forth over email. This is the first review I have every written, and it is genuinely just to warn other guests.
