Perfect Location. Proximity to all we wanted to do. Facilities in the room. Space. Comfy beds. Though it was noisy at times, the bedrooms were isolated from the noise so not a problem and good sleeps were had. The noise usually emanated from fun activities it the square including weddings which we really enjoyed witnessing! Even the church bells, which others had complained about, were not a problem at all! I’d happily stay there again! Braga exceeded all expectations! We loved our stay!

This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable apartments that we have ever rented. It is a spacious, two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that is bright and sunny with a lovely view of the Cathedral. Yes, there were church bells, but they were not very loud and could hardly be heard from the bedrooms that are in the back of the apartment. It has a full kitchen with everything one might need, including a microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. The location is superb, next to the cathedral and a short walk to cafes, shops, tourist sights, grocery store, and a wonderful bakery (Frigideirias da Sé). Even though it is in the center, it was very quiet when we stayed in June.

The horrible service from Minhos Guest prevents me from recommending this apt. I had to call them because they did not contact me about how to get into the apt. The staffer said I would have to collect the keys from a lockbox which was a 10 minute walk from the apt. I had to leave my husband with our bags at the apt. and find the office with the lockbox. It was a 1.5 km/1 mile walk round trip. It was very hot, I was tired from traveling and wasn't dressed for the heat. Later, I called Minhos Guest because the apartment was hot and I had trouble with the AC. I told him I was unhappy about having to walk so far and his response was not nice at all. Later,when I messaged Minhos Guest about checking out, the staffer asked me how I liked my stay and I complained about the long walk to get the key. He said I had been informed about this on Booking.com when making the reservation. This was false--nowhere on Booking.com or in any messages was I told this. I never would have made a reservation where I had to walk a mile on arrival to get the key (I’m 76 and my husband is 82). When I told him this, he contradicted me in several messages insisting that they had informed me in advance. This was pure gaslighting. When I objected, he wrote that I was argumentative and rude. Instead of being conciliatory, his responses were aggressive and rude. Then, the next day I received a message saying I should walk the 1.5 km/1 mile to return the keys to the lockbox! I declined to do this. Who asks guests to do that on the day they are packing and catching a train? Also, they didn't check with us during our stay to see if we needed anything. I've never had such poor service at a short-term rental. Other negatives are that there are problems in the en-suite bathroom: the toilet doesn't flush well and had to be flushed 2 times to get just paper down; there's no shelf in the shower so we had to put body wash on floor; and the shower doesn’t drain well.
