Amazing Family House Sleeps 12 with Private Hot Tub in Tranquil Location

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful home. There’s so much room for people to have their own space but also a great kitchen area for everyone to come together. Close to the lovely town too.

I stayed at Oaklands with my family for my Mum's 50th birthday celebrations and it was the perfect location and property, it was a surprise for my mum and she absolutely loved it. She was amazed by the size, when pulling into the drive she said 'which bit is ours?' to which we replied 'all of it!'. We had such an amazing time, the size allowed for the kids and adults to have their own space to be able to play/party separately. The hot tub was lush, and a great size. It could have done with being a little bit cleaner, we noticed a few cobwebs and dust in the higher up places but it is a big place so that's understandable. There was a bit of confusion with the bins as the signs inside the house had different instructions to the signs on the bins but Andrew was helpful and understanding with this.

Everything was just perfect from the start, very friendly welcome from Andrew and nothing was too much trouble. The house was very luxurious and spacious and had everything you could need, plenty of room for all 12 guests. The hot tub made the stay even better and Jen the private chef cooked us a fabulous meal. Overall all my group of friends enjoyed it and we had a great stay !

We went as a group of Mums without kids and partners for a bit of time out and a good catch up. The property is finished to a high standard and has a lovely welcoming feel. There is plenty of space to spread out, although we spent most of our time in the kitchen, where all good get togethers happen! The house was warm and comfortable which was great as the weather was wet, and hot water was constantly available for hot tub showers etc.. Well provisioned, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cookware and plastic glasses for outside. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer Only 1 bedroom has ensuite, although there are 2 further bathrooms which was more than adequate for our group, and the family bathroom has 2 showers, so would serve larger family groups as well. The walk down into Holmfirth is quite easy, there are plenty of shops for food top ups etc and plenty of nice little independent shops, cafes and bars. The owner was very attentive and responded very quickly to queries, he is knowledgeable about the area and around daily so very accessible but not intrusive. Definitely something for everyone. We are currently considering when will be going back!

house was amazing perfect for what we needed, lovely location 10 min walk to village with lots of shops and pubs, The weekend we stayed there was a storm and it snowed ( very pretty to look at ) , electricty went off for most of the day, in the entire village , but Andrew the owner came to check on us and was really helpful, trying to sort things out he even cleared all the paths for us. highly recommend this propety . brilliant weekend , bonus having the hot tub over lokking the beautiful countryside

We recently stayed at the property and found it to be exactly as described , it was so well maintained and clean and well presented everything we needed was to hand. From booking through to returning home any questions / concerns we had were answered by the owners extremely quickly. Overall would highly recommend the property

Had a fab 4 nights at Holmfirth. The town itself is fairly hilly so make sure your prepared for it! The house itself it’s great! Plenty room for everyone and pool table and hot tub an added bonus. We stayed at this property for a family reunion after Covid restrictions and it was perfect for a great stay in the lovely town of Holmfirth. Particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi/hot tub at the end of the day. Highly recommend this property and met Andrew the owner who gave us some great advice for touring the local district.

Absolutely loved this house. It’s huge! Well decorated and well equipped.There were 10 of us staying to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday with her newborn baby and my 77 year old mum too. We were very lucky with the weather so could enjoy the garden and bbq. The hot tub and pool table were a bonus for the younger ones and we loved sitting in the bar at night. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back soon

This is a beautiful house set in a peaceful location just a short walk from Holmfirth. The property is huge and beautifully presented, with the welcome addition of a hot tub located to the side in an enclosed courtyard area. Just returned from a weekend stay here with a group of friends celebrating my Hen party. We had an amazing time, the house is simply stunning in every way, beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean throughout and everything was just perfect. The photographs dont really do it justice . the centrepiece of the house is big kitchen/ diner which has a large modern round dining table that easily seated all 20 people making this a fantastic place to all meet and greet and all dine together in a lovely warm atmosphere, we hired the personal chef through Celebration Cottages and they were simply brilliant and a special thank you to Debbie who provided the wonderful afternoon tea- scruptious!! The cocktail lounge is another marvellous feature to the house -something you dont ususally find in any property but it made the evening extra special as we had our own bar there and dance floor! The views looking over the hills and valleys are also fabulous . The hot tub was very well recieved and perfect with the nice pagoda style shelter offering protection from the rain so we could use it whenever we wanted It is also worth mentioning that the quaint town of Holmfirth is only a 10 min walk away which is well worth a visit as there are lots of pretty shops and restaurants as well as cafe/ bars and bistros there. The owners were fabulous with us from start to finish and were always on hand before we arrived to answer our questions and i cant thank Celebration Cottages enough for all their help with my booking for what will be a lovely memory for myself and my friends forever more Thank you both Andrew and Faye I hope to return in the future to Oaklands & Holmfirth

What a beautiful property Oaklands Spa is , everything about this house is fab throughout. we were a group of ladies all celebrating a 40th Birthday and we could not have picked a nicer place as a venue for this. We used Celebration Cottages who i believe own the property to organise everything for us - like the chefs 3 course meal which was to die for and the cocktail class which again was absolutely brilliant, everything was very easy to book and the owners were simply fantastic, bending over backwards to help us make the weekend flawless for my special birthday weekend we all loved the large bedrooms and open plan kitchen diner where 18 of us could easily all eat together around the fab circular banquet style table , the Cocktail lounge is amazing -we used this room as a function room for dancing and karaoke too- brilliant idea to have this in a fun house like this! the hot tub was amazing too with a covered pagoda so we used it all of the time Thank you to Celebration Cottages for making this a very special weekend

I was worries about organising such a big event, my twin sister is getting married so we hired Oakland's & Holmesdale Cottage for her hen weekend this was just what she wanted all our family friends in one place with drinks, food and lots of laughs. Andrew and Faye made organising this weekend so much easier it was so straight forward the properties are amazing Oaklands wowed all the party and many will look to book when organising family holidays/weekends away so I felt so proud to have found such a gorgeous property. The rooms were spacious the games room was a great touch, my sister loved the hot tub as did everyone else :-). Holmfirth was only a short walk away with great views. I can't fault this property. Great time had by everyone thank you holmfirth holiday homes for making my sisters hen weekend a memorable one :-)

6 couples stayed at Oaklands in September for a long weekend and it was perfect for us. The house itself is huge and took me by surprise at the amount of communal space there is there. 7 bedrooms all tastefully furnished with 5 of these being double bedrooms which worked for us. There is a very large games room with pool table and bar! this was obviously enjoyed by all. The house is very unusual and quirky which we liked, and set in a sort of semi rural area where you are surrounded by nice countryside but not too remote either. The large modern kitchen diner is without doubt the centrepiece of the house and is very impressive. We occupied this room more than most and it was large enough for us all to eat together and socialise. Outside of the house the views are splendid and to top it all off we had the use of the heated hot tub which was a real treat and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The owners were very helpful in recommending places to eat and visit and i would definitely recommend visiting the vine yard and having the tour. They also provided some beauticians to come to the house and offer beauty treatments and pampering for the ladies which went down well and afforded the men time out to watch the football! Holmfirth itself is only a short walk from the house and it is very charming and well worth a wonder around, there are also lots of nice restaurants and cafe/ bars. All in all this was the perfect venue for our weekend away and we would recommend staying at Oaklands and we are going to return next year for sure.. *****

We booked 'Oaklands' for a family celebration. 8 adults and 4 children and 2 Yorkshire Terriers fitted very comfortably into the well appointed house. Enough space for everyone, but not so spread out that you felt isolated. Andrew's communication prior to and during our stay was excellent and he was always on the end of the phone for any questions. The kitchen is the stand out part of the house and is very well equipped. This was so important for us as we tend to spend alot of time as a family in the kitchen. Loads of space! The hot tub is a nice bonus and is kept immaculate by Andrew. We have a couple of very minor negatives. The overall decorative finish is, in a few places, starting to look a little tired. Unfortunately due to past bad experiences Andrew has put up a significant number of . 'Do and don't' signs which, although make you very well informed of what is acceptable, it does act as a constant reminder that you are in someone else's property and it is sometimes a little difficult to completely relax. However having talked to Andrew we do understand why he has done this. Hopefully a few more positive experiences will soothe troubled waters! However these things are really minor. We had a fabulous stay and the house is amazing. This property is perfect for family gatherings, large families our groups of friends that want to spend some quality time together in a really special house. We had a great time. Thank you!

We have just returned home from a lovely week staying at Oakland's. The house is lovely with a wonderful living area and fantastic kitchen / dining area. We were a party of teenagers and older generation and the house suited us all, the annex is perfect for shutting the kids away where they had their own TV, play station and pool table leaving the other end of the house for the remaining guests to chat without the noise! The hot tub and BBQ were enjoyed and are perfect set on their own patio area. The house has wonderful views over the hills which are lovely to just sit and look at for a quiet moment. Holmfirth itself is a lovely town with shops and lots of cafes and restaurants, in the surrounding area there is so much to do for everyone you need much longer than a week to enjoy it all. Andy was immediately available for all our queries and was so helpful guiding us around the area with a map and attractions. We celebrated two birthdays whilst there and there are some lovely restaurants around who were great with cakes and our large party a great place to stay for any occasion.

We stayed here for 1 week in May with our family of 12 and it is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Plenty of space for socialising and also for quiet times also. Huge kitchen diner, very modern with everything in there you could wish for. We spent most evenings in the large games room on the pool table and bar area. The children enjoyed having their own TV lounge and games area and of course the hot tub outside which we all indulged in the evenings especially. The house is very unusual and full of charm and character, it is also situated in an elevated position overlooking some lovely countryside but within walking distance to the lovely town of Holmfirth which we adored pondering around. We would recommend this property to anyone, families, groups etc, ideal for staging a get together to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.
