About this cottage rental

Located within and forming part of the boundary of Scotland First National Park, the Old Smiddy Cottage is built over Ballagan burn which runs down to meet the waters of Loch Lomond We also have an Apartment which is attached to the original Blacksmiths House offers an ideal base to enjoy Loch Lomond and the surrounding area. Charming premises which is equipped to the highest standards with beautiful tartan carpet, the Cottage having Black Watch. Cottage has gas central heating and double glazing and share a private patio where guests can relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery beside Ballagan burn along with the wild ducks. Private parking is available large enough to accommodate a car and boat and we provide free WI FI for all of our guests. There are two en-suite bedrooms a double and a twin sleeping 4. A brand new kitchen for 2023 with table and chairs, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and gas hob and electric oven. Sitting room with cable tv and black watch tartan carpet.
The Old Smiddy Cottage and Apartment are the ideal base for a self catering holiday in Scotland particularly for touring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs .

Stirling and Glasgow, are within a half hour drive away, Edinburgh and Perth one hour, and much of Argyll, Perthshire, Ayrshire and South East Scotland is accessible in less than two hours.

For those who do not wish to venture too far there are many wonderful scenic drives, walks and attractions close to the cottage and apartment. Only a short drive or bus journey will take you the edge of Ben Lomond and the West Highland Way.
