Stonebuilt converted barn in the village of Thorncliffe, two miles from the market town of Leek. Sleeps 4.
2 bedroom rural detached converted barn set in the small hamlet of Thorncliffe. On the edge of the peak district. Fitted kitchen with fridge, freezer and washing machine, kitchen table and 4 stools, . living room with dining table. Bathroom with shower. Travel cot available .
Off road parking. Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, Haddon hall, The Roaches, Buxton, Bakewell and Manifold Valley all within easy reach. Owners also live in Thorncliffe within a few minutes from the barn.

Lovely Cottage,Spotllesly Clean and obviously looked after with care.Well Equipped with everything you might need for your stay.Beautiful surroundings in lovely countryside and very quiet perfect for a nice peaceful stay.Near to the town of Leek for shops etc.We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.Highly Recommended.

Beautiful property. We arrived in the dark, so quite difficult to find. Maybe could do with name of property on the gate. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay and would definitely use again.

Amazing house. But if you’re staying here get ready to chase after ladybugs 24/7 as when we arrive it was infested and we had to spend 3 hours after travelling clearing them out of the bedroom with bunk beds and living room. Also a ladybug found in the bed of the master room. In the end we went and bought tea tree oil to deter them from coming in but they would still keep appearing. Roughly 100 ladybugs cleared out using the hoover. Never took pictures of how bad it was cause we were all tired and forgot but below is a few examples

Me and my partner stayed hear our weekend break at this cottage, we were visiting Buxton opera house ,witch was less then 20 mins drive.. It was in a beautiful location, , quiet and peaceful, Short 5 mins drive to the town. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed there, the bed was comfy ..The host contact me with all the information we needed before we arrived. We would definitely come to stay again. Thank you for a lovely break

Lovely place to stay for Alton Towers. Only 20 min drive. You need to mind your head upstairs if 6ft and above. Beds lovely and comfortable. I will say and I have not knocked a star as it’s a small thing. There is no WiFi. Feel that should be mentioned on the advert

Woodview Barn was perfect for our short break to the South Peaks and Leek. It is clean, comfortable and spacious and is located near the edge of the Peak District National Park. It’s just over a couple of miles from the interesting market town of Leek.If we come back to the area we would definitely stay again.

Recently came back from woodview barn. All the family had a fantastic time. The barn was very clean, cosy and excellently converted. Was perfect for us. Beautiful location in the countryside, great walks and a excellent pub/restarant nearby which is called the reform. Would definately stay again.

The converted cottage is full of character and everything has it's purpose. Modern central heating, placement of sockets and lighting completed overall good impression. Easy access to interesting locations makes it a great point of start for area exploration. Place to revisit definitely.

We travel a lot and have to say this is one of if not the cleanest property we have had the pleasure of staying in.No dust on any surfaces or any of the usual missed webs or spiders anywhere, immaculate throughout.Plenty of room for two and all the kitchen untensils needed if you want to cook together with a table top freezer to store meals. You could smell the central heating fuel in the kitchen but was not a problem (heating housed on other side of kitchen wall under outside stairs).Plenty of storage in bedrooms, double bed mattress could probably do with replacing at this point but was fine for a two night stay. Water pressure in shower great, (always a plus).Great views from the property and private parking, the photos do not do it justice.Lots to do and see locally for all abilities and plenty of nice eateries near by.Would happily stay here again.

I do not usually take the lead in planning a stay away so was extremely nervous about the whole process. However, the property was perfect. It was local to the area we were visiting, it had a pub with lovely food a few minutes walk down the road and, if we find ourselves back in this locality we will look to book again - we will be happy to recommend to our friends.

We spent two nights here but wished we could have stayed for longer. A beautiful, cosy cottage in a rural location but within easy reach of the local pub (walking distance), town (5 mins drive), walks and Alton Towers. The property itself was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We couldn’t find something but the owners soon rectified it, couldn’t fault the service or property. For those with infants, it is worth noting that there is only a shower, no bath. Would very much recommend this property and I’ll definitely be recommending it to my friends.

Absolutely brilliant little cottage for our family. It was perfect for what we needed for 5 nights. The location was great, lots of local pub/restaurants within walking distance. Lots of things for family to do within 40mins drive too. Great price for 5 nights for family of 4. Would definitely recommend. The only thing is there is no wifi ( which didnt bother us, suits us better that the kids are not glued to screens whilst we were away). The owners provided some dvd's for entertainment, which our kids enjoyed. Overall, loved the place!

We found this Converted Barn online just as we were struggling to locate somewhere to stay for a family wedding. Location was great for us. Clean and tidy. Will definitely be returning in the future. Great location and would definitely be recommending.
