NIGHTMARE IN TILBURG!!!!!

they didn't allow us are baby of 2 in our room because it was only for 2 people. we arrived at 20:00 and our baby was already sleeping. they told us that we need to book our an extra room where 1 parent and the child can sleep and the other parent in the other room, or we could cancel and need to go somewhere else. we needed to pay an extra room for nothing that was not used by us. because our baby needed a night sleep we were forced to pay double. they were very aggressive and unfriendly, we checked in the morning out, filled and official complaint and never come back anymore in our life!

Very helpful staff

The staff there has been very helpful. Even though trying to contact someone to get support before arrival has been at times difficult, once there they have been extremely helpful and solved all the problems we've had, so thumbs up for them! Also, the city center is very easy to reach even by foot.

Great comfortable rooms for a reasonable price

Room was a decent size and the beds were really comfy. We had a little fridge in our room which was great. Bathroom was also big, clean, and had a good shower and all the amenities we needed. There was a music festival happening nearby which you could hear from the street but in our room we couldn't hear anything so the soundproofing must be very good! There are also some really nice little restaurants nearby, and a Lidl supermarket, which was useful if we didn't feel like walking back into the centre of Tilburg after a long day.

It takes about half an hour to walk into the city centre, which was fine for us but worth bearing in mind. There are some buses but they're not super regular. We also found it very hard to find the entrance! It's not clear from the street how to get in (if you're not driving) but again that wasn't really a big deal. The only other thing was that our room didn't get cleaned any of the 3 nights that we were there - again, we didn't mind this but some people might. But overall we really liked this hotel :-)

Questionable

The location was good,

No pedestrian access to footpath, lack of toiletries, no shampoo, tissues or shower cap in bathroom. Only a coffee maker in room, and only 2 coffee pods given for 3 days stay, no milk or sugar replaced either. Room cleaned once at our request, only bins were emptied and towels replaced. Beds not made and nothing replaced, even the dirty mugs weren't replaced.

Arriving well after check-in and being said the room is not ready?! Cleanliness, lot of dust underneath the bed. Unidentifiable spots here and there.

I missed my train in Tilburg and booked Bastion hotel, as it was mentioned on booking.com that hotel reception is open 24/7. However, when I arrived to hotel entrance doors were closed. After 15 minutes waiting in front of glass door I managed to get attention of one of hotel staff passing by and he said that hotel reception will be open in the morning. So I requested refund and he said I can call in the morning. But it is impossible to communicate to any hotel representative by phone, as robot just readdressing you back to booking.com. I placed request for refund here and got reply that my booking is not refundable. Thank you for such experience, I needed to take Uber for another 150euros and wasted time and money with you.

Great place to stay if it wasn't for the noise from the door at the entrance to the corridor.

The meal in the restaurant in the evening was very nice and good value. The room was large, the air conditioning could be adjusted (turned down) to sleep better and the shower was very good.

The door to the corridor on the sixth floor which closed too strongly and banged so loudly as to wake me up. The breakfast was not exciting at all and very limited for the money.

Pleasantly surprised

Good location for the ijssportcentum (ice hockey tournament)

Under the beds needed sweeping during both of my stays, the mattresses were softer than I would have liked. When I stayed on the 3rd floor the sound of other people was slightly invasive, on the 4th floor this wasn’t a problem.

The place was quiet and clean, the room was amazing, kind staff.

The room was very nice. The bed was king size and comfortable. The bathroom was also quite nice and spacious.

The only negative point was the location, because it is a bit far from the center. There is a bus stop near the hotel though, so it was not a big problem for us.

Very good hotel

We had a deluxe double room and it was nice, clean, comfortable. We didn't have breakfast because leaving very early in the morning. Staff was kind and friendly.

The access to the hotel seems designed exclusively in favour of those coming by car...

Everything is fine. The location is perfect for what I needed. The staff was so nice, they had heating problems in my room and so they changed it and even got me free breakfast for the duration of my stay.
