Xanadu Hostel

Breakfast was tasty but a bit small. Great view of the valley from the balcony and fell asleep to the sound of the thundering waterfall. The host was very helpful, even picked us up at the hot springs as it started to rain. We did not call him, the owner of the eatery where we had lunch arranged a lift for us back to the hostel. It was the host of the hostel who picked us up, he didn't want any money for the service. Saved us walking 1 hour in the rain back to the hostel. This eatery was opposite the hot springs, good food, cheap and a great host, thank goodness for Google translate.

Bath tub instead of a shower cubicle. The bathroom was tiny, very dated but clean.

Luidruchtige airco

Het ligt op een prachtige plek, als het meer het seizoen is. Wij waren er in april. Mooie omgeving en wij hadden een kamer met zicht op de waterval. Prima bedden en klein balkon. Parkeermogelijkheid op eigen terrein. In de receptie is een grote koelkast beschikbaar, alsmede een magnetron. Die hadden wij ook wel nodig, want het enige restaurant in de buurt sloot om 17.00 uur. Communicatie met handen en voeten en Google Translate.

De badkamer was erg klein (douchen in bad). Wastafel buiten de badkamer. Kamer een beetje gedateerd.

Stunning mountains views from the balcony. You can hear the flowing of the waterfalls below. The manager and his team were wonderful. He even took me in to town a few times to pick up supplies which he didn’t have to do and expected nothing in return. Wonderfully accommodating, very friendly all round.

Be prepared that there are no stores, 7/11 etc close by. It’s a 40-50 minute walk in to town along a windy road which you definitely wouldn’t want to walk at night. Or, you’ll have to arrange transport in to town and back
