A very squeaky bed

It was beautifully kept and manicured. Great little private tubs. Feels romantic, ideal for couples on a honeymoon. Modern room feels elevated with authentic twists. You also get an outdoor feeling bathroom which is so cool. Staff were the best ever. They are so helpful at organising trips or activities around the island. One of the days we were sick and they took extra care with us. So grateful.

Clean property, calm and well located. The staff is very nice, Lalu and his team are very kind and helped us with everything we needed !

The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, but I wasn't crazy about the coffee. The plunge pools were a nice feature and were very clean. The location is very central and walkable to everything.

The low rating is because they were doing renovations and repairs while I was there, using a lot of very smelly varnish. The second day I was there, they worked on the eating area, so no table service. The third day, I tried to sit by the pool, but they were working on one of the cottages beside it, and the smell was overwhelming. One day I was sitting outside and they started on the cottage next to me. Varnish fumes are nasty and give me a vicious headache, so I had to go inside or leave. Even after they were finished for the day, the smell lingered. Two of the evenings, they had no cook to make dinner. The staff offered to order us takeout but that is never the same. The last full day I was there, they were cutting down tree limbs, so there was a lot of loud chopping and other noises. The neighboring houses were burning garbage, including plastic, which added to the already bad smell. I've worked in the hotel industry for years, I know that you need to take advantage of slower times to do repairs. However, if it's something that is going to interfere with the guests, you either block off the rooms in sections or shut down for a few days and get all the work done with no guests there. I talked to another person there, and they were bothered by the same issues.
