POSITION:
One of the most famous cities in Salento is Gallipoli, the “beautiful city”. Gallipolli’s Greek origins are still quite evident in not only the artifacts found throughout the city, but also in the Griko dialect still spoken by some locals. The seaside town features a charming historical center that is actually set upon a tiny island just a few meters off the mainland. The streets are lined with shops selling various wares, and there plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from, several of which overlook the sea. Those who wonder off the main streets can find their way into the residential areas of the centro storico, and get a glimpse of what life there has been like for at least the past century. Our vacation was very nice. We don't need a sandy beach and the cliffs and coastal nature reserve were perfect for our holiday with the dogs.
It was very quiet, you could experience a lot and relax really well.
The accommodation had everything you need. It is important to accept the information that the area can be shared with other holidaymakers.

Das Haus ist gut gelegen, 2 Minuten vom Meer (Felsenküste) gelegen, kann man hier schöne Sonnenuntergänge genießen.
Allerdings ist das Interieur nicht mehr so schön, wie auf den Fotos dargestellt - alles ist irgendwie etwas "verranzt". Für uns hatte das keinen Einfluss auf den Urlaub, da wir eh die ganze Zeit draußen waren. Wer wert auf gute Betten legt, sollte seine Ansprüche zurückschrauben - die Betten waren entweder sehr hart oder durchgelegen.
Der Verwalter - Dario - war sehr nett, spricht allerdings nur italienisch und französisch. Englisch: Fehlanzeige.
Wenn man diese Unterkunft mit Anderen vergleicht, ist diese "noch OK" ...man darf allerdings keine deutschen Standards ansetzen (...ist eh klar ;-) ). Würde ich die Unterkunft nochmal buchen? Vermutlich schon, weil es ein paar schöne Strände in der Umgebung gibt... allerdings würde ich mit wesentlich geringereren Erwartungen dorthin fahren.

Dario il proprietario molto simpatico e sempre a disposozione per qualsiasi cosa! La piscina privata e grande e il giardino come anche la villa molto curata. Iido pizzo/cortriero dove si trova la villa era perfetto per noi, lontano dal caos turistico e tranquillo. Dipende anche da i vicini che si ha durante il nolleggio della casa
