Apartment La Thuile (CIR0044)

Very nice appartement with everything you need.

Great house at a quite location and only few minutes drive to the gondola. Vilage is at walking distance for shopping and groceries.

The property was as described. It would have been nice to have some hand soap and washing up liquid.....we bought some and left it for the next people in.

Very comfortable apartment, convenient for the slopes, warm and nicely kitted out. Well equipped kitchen, so self catering was easy. Giovanni was very helpful in communication. We love La Thuile - it’s our third visit and would definitely recommend this apartment.

Skiing was fab / weather helped. Good range of reds & black for the teenagers and blues for younger beginners. Definitely enough to keep us busy for the week. The new lift in La Rosiere has a really nice run down from it. Very reasonable bars / restaurants on the mountain & great to be able to hire a locker for skis at the lifts. The ski school was total shambles for the children. Too many per instructor and a very disinterested director who lacked any accountability to sort it out. Would definitely return to Giovanni’s apartment and La Thuile just not use the ski school.

Giovanni was most helpful and accommodated all of our needs. His apartment is first class and provided my family with all the amenities of home. WiFi is good and car parking in the underground bay was just right. The surrounding pathways and approach roads were routinely cleared of snow to allow constant access. I would hav no hesitation in recommending both Giovanni and his La Thuile apartment to anyone and it is our intention to go back again next year.

What a fantastic holiday we had and that is down to the great skiing in La Thuile and the lovely apartment provided by Giovanni. it is really well appointed with oh so comfortable beds, good cooking facilities and plenty of hot water for the deep bath. Another great feature was the underground garage having parked our car outside on other ski holidays this made loading easy and gave peace of mind that the cold would not effect the deisel! Garage in town to top up after the drive. The ski slopes were a 10 minute walk with kids but the ski bus stops at the bottom of the drive at 15 minutes past the hour. Never quite worked out the name of the stop. The Ski School was excellent for our children and they commented that the instructors were far friendlier than the French ones they have had previously. There is a good mix of ski slopes from wide open gentle blues, to enjoyable reds and challenging blacks. The Ladies ski world cup was on during our stay and they were amazing! The owner Giovanni was friendly but professional and clearly cares for his apartment. His communications were prompt and clear. The insructions he sent before arrival were really good, especially compared to others i have previously had. The town of La Thuile is very quaint. The tourist info were very helpful but i recommend taking the lift! Use the supermarket in the Planibel complex much better value and selection of goods. i would also recommend hiring a locker from Only Ski, makes life so much easier at the start and end of the day. The bars/restaurants on the mountain were great and prices were so good for food or drinks - €1.20 a coffee or €3 a soft drink. We ate out on last day at La Raclette and it was very good food for adults and children at very reasonable prices. my one improvement would be to have an enhanced TV package. Not to have U.K. channels but a better selection of Italian and French channels but i am TV sport addict and missed it. Finally just to say Thanks to Giovanni for letting use his fantastic apartment and we would love to come again soon.
