Appartments 1A is a very small attic with steep stairs leading up to the room. The small double bed completely filled the bedroom leaving no space for any drawers or dressing table. The window was floor level with the curtain hanging off the rail. The living area had a small settee, table and a TV set on a vert low table making viewing uncomfortable. The room was varm and stuffy. The only was to control the temperature was to open the window which involved moving the table and using the piece of wood provided to prop the window open. The only view was onto the street. We chose Astor House from the description on the website which had lovely views from a patio area. Appartment 1A does not have this which vas extremely disappointing

Great place to stay
Great place to stay
In the centre of Torquay we had a pleasant stay at Astor House. The apartment was comfortable, peacefully quiet and easy to reach. Though we missed the seaview being at the back of the house, we loved the 'cottagefeel' of the apartment.

Our short stay at Astor House
Our short stay at Astor House
Myself and my partner enjoyed our short stay at Astor House. It was only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The apartment itself was very clean and had everything in it that we needed. Very happy and would stay again.

Tiny bedroom, broken shower
Tiny bedroom, broken shower
This apartment is much, much smaller than expected! The bedroom is only just big enough for the bed. It is also right at the top of the house i.e. There are a lot of stairs to climb - this was not made clear. The shower was broken. The part that holds the shower head would not slide to the top so either had to hold the shower head or crouch down! Finally, there is no milk in the house when you arrive so unless you want to drink black tea, the amenities are not available for a cuppa - as promised.
