A special stay experience, like no other!

Exquisite furnishings, comfortable bed, superb breakfast, and a wonderful host!! A scale of 12 out of 10!! I wish we had stayed more than one night.

Parking was a little tight, but the host helped us do it safely. This one might seem silly, but my feet were cold just wearing socks on bare floors. I would’ve liked a suggestion beforehand to bring some soft-soled slippers or extra socks, since we couldn’t wear shoes. (I didn’t make a connection about that.)

The only imperfect part of our trip was the hot weather. The Patrician Hollywood Universal is an amazing place to stay. Still can’t believe it turned out to be everything we hoped for and more!

Flawless experience made possible by our host TJ

In all my years of traveling, I have never met such a good host as TJ. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left he was always the most considerate and helpful host you could wish for. He made the whole stay hassle free by anticipating all our needs, recommending how to reach places and went above and beyond by even treating us to home made cocktails and waiting for us with food after the event we attended. On top of that he has great stories to share and is simple a great person to be around.

TJ and Jorie were fantastic hosts - so welcoming and friendly. Their home and property is beautiful and it was a perfect location for us to go to the Cruel World 2023 fest at the Rose Bowl. We really enjoyed our time there and will be looking for a reason to go again!

I loved everything about it. idyllic setting and lovely home! Owners were personable and full of stories. really enjoyed my stay there! Would stay again!

it was my last option because everything else was booked, otherwise I’d never have stayed there! My friend complained about the winding road to get there with switchbacks, but it’s so pretty, who cares!

The Patrician is a beautiful setting to relax and wind down after taking in the sights and sounds of busy LA and the Hollywood Bowl. We found it to be a hidden gem with a mountain view and a gracious host. TJ was so accommodating and fun to chat with. The property was very clean and tidy both inside and out. Our room was perfect, the bed was comfortable, and the common areas were inviting. Thanks TJ and the Patrician for a wonderful weekend!

it was a wonder respite for us on a long drive. The gorgeous setting was one thing; but TJ, the host, made it exception

the house, grounds and neighborhood is very unique. it really represents the best of Pasadena. Our host prepared delicious lemon drops at sunset for us.

The service, location and B&B was simply wonderful. We could not have asked for a better stay, better conversation or better service. The location near the Rose Bowl was an added bonus and took the stress out of the traffic after the event. If you want a quiet, high-end experience, this is your place.

Situated atop the beautiful hills of Pasadena, the view was gorgeous, the villa comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The host was exceptionally kind and provided us with a cup of coffee and great, insightful conversation upon arrival. The cocktails our host prepared for us to enjoy with the evening lights of LA was a truly memorable experience!

The place was just gorgeous. The host was super warm and welcoming. We didn’t mind it to breakfast but he still gave us some delicious warm croissants before we left. Loved chatting and having a drink with the host as well, learned a lot from our talks as well

The owners truly enjoy what they do and extend gracious hospitality

The breakfast which included fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. The patios had comfortable places to sit and enjoy the views. The stairs to bedroom and private bath was easily accessible. It was interesting to talk to the owners.

The parking was a bit awkward. The zen room would have benefited from a fan to circulate the air during the heat.

TJ is a perfect host. He is kind, warm, and caring. He makes you feel like a friend. We didn't book breakfast, but he supplied a wonderful breakfast every morning. His home is so beautiful and clean. The view is fantastic. If you live in a home without a view, then this is the experience you need to have. I feel there is definitely a good energy there because my companion totally changed his demeanor from an angry man to a happy man since the first night we got there till we left. This experience is so beyond our expectation and impressed us so much that none of the hotels ever did to us. Whenever we go back to LA, this will be our home.

It was a joy to meet wonderful people in a beautiful location and to feel so totally looked after.

Literally everything. The location is stunning and the rooms are exceptional, but the hosting was truly brilliant. I am a shy introvert, but TJ created an environment where all four couples who were staying very quickly felt at ease and open with each other. It felt almost like he had hand-selected four couples who were all very different, but would find experiences in common and just enjoy each other's company. When we left, it really did feel like we were leaving old friends behind. I do not know quite how the magic of this place works, but I felt totally unwound, happy and at ease throughout our stay, and was very sad to leave and return to the the real world!

I really struggle to think of anything I would change at all. The whole experience felt so uplifting (and I am English- we don't really do uplifting easily!)
