Olympic View Inn

Great price. Didn't bring our dog this stay but they allowed dogs so that's great to know. Walk across the street and there's two restaurants. Tons of shopping near here, but a great place to stay if you're passing through.

The town itself was a good base near Olympic National Park. The property looked fine and the staff at least tried to be nice once things went wrong.

We booked a two-bedroom suite a month in advance, got a confirmation message, and thought everything was set. After a long day of travel, we arrived late on Labor Day weekend, ready to just check in and rest. Instead, they told us our reservation “wasn’t in their system.” On one of the busiest weekends of the year, with everything nearby completely sold out, they basically had no room for us. The way they handled it made things even worse. They blamed Booking.com for not “downloading” the reservation, and even suggested we should have called ahead to double-check. Honestly, who does that after getting a confirmation? Their “solution” was insulting. Instead of the two-bedroom suite we had reserved, all four of us (two couples) were forced into one bedroom. Two of us had to sleep on the floor. After a long trip, on a holiday weekend we had planned months before, this was the exact opposite of what we had paid for. And the worst part? They refused to compensate us. We had to chase Booking customer service ourselves and eventually got a tiny refund that barely covered the difference between the room we had paid for and the downgrade we were forced to accept. On top of that, Booking told us we would be given additional compensation for the inconvenience, but that never actually happened. Easily the worst booking experience we’ve ever had.

Not clean- even upon check in it felt dirty. No air turned on so it was hot and stuffy and smelled bad when we arrived. Yellow stains on carpet, lots of noise from floor above us. Wifi doesn’t work. Had to repeatedly ask another guest to stop loudly making TikToks outside of our room at 8 am. Came back after a family dinner and had to drive around for 10 minutes before we could snag a parking spot.

Toilet leaked, second day of coffee not left in the room, drapes did not fully close.
