Unique place with breathtaking views, but not quite as described

We spend a few special days at this unique location. The view over the valley is absolutely stunning, peaceful, spacious and surrounded by nature. The apartment (the top floor of the house) is tastefully decorated, cosy, and full of character, definitely not your average holiday rental. The host was very friendly and helpful, and we did enjoy our stay. Especially the peace, the view and the atmosphere. If you are aware of the access and layout, it’s a special place to unwind and experience something different.

However, the road to the house is something to consider. It’s a long, narrow gravel track with potholes and uneven surfaces. Only one car can pass at a time, and you really need to drive slowly. This wasn’t mentioned in the description, but would have been helpful to know in advance. The sleeping arrangements were also a bit different than expected. There are two spacious double bedrooms, but the other 2 sleeping areas are open loft spaces under the sloped roof, only accessible by a steep staircase and too low to sit upright. There’s also a bed on the landing and a sofa bed in the living room. For groups this might work fine, but we booked expecting four proper bedrooms.

Literie a remplacer d'urgence car matelas affaissés. Plafond et espace trop dans la salle de bains trop petits et trop bas. Prix demandé pour la recharge électrique du véhicule.

Het huis voldeed NIET aan de beschrijving: er zijn slechts 2 volwaardige slaapkamers. De rest zijn 2 lage ruimtes in de nok, enkel bereikbaar met een verticale ladder, waarvan er 1 los zat… Er staat verder een bed op de overloop en een oncomfortabele slaapbank in de living. Er zijn geen kleerkasten. Bovendien woont de eigenaar onder het appartement, waardoor de privacy erg beperkt is. Het had bovendien gesneeuwd de dag voor we arriveerden, waardoor de toegang spekglad lag. Er werd niet gestrooid noch geruimd. Twee mensen uit ons gezelschap vielen met een elleboogbarst bij de ene en een spierscheur bij de andere.

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Mitten der Natur.

Wer es einsam und ruhig mag, hat hier das perfekte Haus. Sehr gemütlich (auch Dank Schwedenofen) und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Der Vermieter ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sicherlich auch eine fantastische Unterkunft für einen Sommer-Urlaub.

Hier und da könnten kleine Reparaturen und Erneuerungen vorgenommen werden - allerdings nichts dramatisches, was den tollen Aufenthalt hätte mindern können.
