Fantastic house, wonderful hosts

Wonderful cost house a short drive our from la clusaz. This was never an issue though as we were able to easily request transportation from our hosts in the day and the evening and there was never a difficulty. House was spotless clean and well furnished, comfy mattresses, nice washrooms. It was a real bonus having the option to ask for a delicious home cooked meal - 3 courses (optional) with vegetarians and meat eaters catered to - from Vincent just by letting him know in the morning. Our hosts Linda, Agnes and Vincent were friendly, welcoming and relaxed throughout our stay. Thank you for a great trip!

Superb

The property is well decorated and maintained, comfortable and cozy - an idyllic rustic feel. It is located very close to skiing in La Clusaz. Water temperature and pressure was excellent, the wifi and TV streaming was great, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Plenty of towels and linen for the whole group. The pull out sofa was of good quality, much better than your average pull out. We got a ski rental discount of 15% at Le Schuss in La Clusaz.

Although we generally loved how well equipped the apartment was, we had just one garbage bin liner and two rolls of toilet paper, and no dish washing liquid. Of course these are inexpensive and we bought what we needed, but it seemed silly that a place which is otherwise so impressive - and cost several hundred euros per night - would not invest an extra couple of euros (literally) so that we did not need to buy anything extra for the apartment during a five-day stay. We had a rental car, and with a group size of 8 we needed to make two runs between the apartment and skiing, both in the morning and in the afternoon. Although both La Clusaz and Saint Jean de Sixt are actually pretty close by, it is not possible to walk anywhere from the apartment - no sidewalk, no shoulders on the main road. I must have received at least two dozen emails about my rental, in some cases multiples copies of the same email. I am glad they communicate, but it almost got annoying. The whole communication process could have been much simplified.

Excellent stay for a group or a family! Thank you very much!

Very clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped! Vince the chef made our stay! Slight issues with taxi’s to get us to the slope’s but Vince and Jan were on hand every day to take us and pick us up! A really nice guy who could not do anymore for us! Thank you very much Vince, you’re a credit to the chalet!!

Taxi’s were unavailable and the chalet would be a long walk to town along a busy road with no path. A bit of information regarding this before arrival would help guests to plan their stay better.

Beautifully renovated farmhouse, designed with great attention to detail. High quality fixtures and fittings, comfortable beds and a powerful shower.

A cafetière/percolator would have been a useful addition.

Beautiful chalet. We had a lovely stay. Great hosts.

We stayed for 5 nights. The mattress in master bedroom and the pillows were not great. It would have been nice to have had better than very basic mattresses and pillows. It’s a real shame as the rest of the decor is of a high quality 😊
