First of all, I must say, we have travelled extensively in Europe with our children and have stayed in many apartments/cottages/self-catered houses before, so we know what to compare this one to:). We had an opportunity to stay at this "summer cottage" for three nights in April. The stay was perfect in every way! The cottage was the perfect size for our family of five (children ages 5-10) with a kitchen/dining room area and a separate living room downstairs plus two bedrooms upstairs. There is a door between one bedroom (with a double bed) and the other sleeping area (where we had three single beds). The staircase IS quite steep, so if you have very small children who like to climb stairs, it might be a challenge. Our kids loved it! The kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms were very clean, water pressure was great, all appliances were in order. We could also use a heater as it was still cold during the night. Beds/pillows were comfortable, and towels were soft. Our kids' favorite part was the fact that they could play with all the play tractors/four-wheelers outside and jump on the trampoline. My husband also took the kids out on a rowboat that is free to use to people staying on property. It was fabulous! The whole experience was very comfortable and fun. We definitely recommend this place if you want to stay away from the city, but still short drive away from the main attractions.

We really enjoyed to stay in the summer cottage. John waited until 10pm to welcome us and during all our stay, he and his family took time for us even during daytime, when they were working. We even were able to milk a cow and live for a couple of hours the typical farm life. Toys and playground are fantastic for kids and my daughter couldn't leave it. The summer cottage (there are 2 other houses) is small but cosy and was perfect for a familly of 4 adults, 1 kid and 1 baby. It was a fantastic stay.
