Clean facility, good location, great price, poor parking

Great location, facility was clean, nice kitchen amenities. My only complaint was the parking. Showers were nice and hot, towels provided easy access to get the room keys.

Parking was a nightmare. It’s a tight entrance made it real difficult to back in and out of. Lots of foreign visitors when we arrived that parked their vehicle in spots where everyone else couldn’t park well and cars were boxing each other in. Would be helpful to have wider parking area. The facility had a big boat parked in the lot which took up prime parking area made it difficult getting in and out.

Good location, big room, overall can’t complain

Room was the most expensive on our trip but it was a 3 bed room. Very spacious, nice in room showers

Great practical would stay again

Perfect for my needs a trip with my children we were all in the same room which was great , room was clean and tidy . We all slept well I managed to park my large car which was a bonus.

the gaining of access was an issue, I have never given the code and had to borrow a phone to call ( international roaming was needed) and man who answered was grumpy

Bed bugs? No thanks!

Upon arrival, we decided NOT to spend the night here as there have been multiple reports about bed bugs at this guesthouse over the course of recent months, including AFTER I had made my booking. Unfortunately (and unethically violating its own community guidelines), those reviews are suppressed on this very booking website, so this was noticed late.

Neither the guesthouse management nor this booking platform were forthcoming in rectifying this issue by offering a refund.

Ok, could improve

Location was OK-30 mins walking from inverness city centre. Parking is a bit tight, not enough spaces to park as there are always staff onsite with cars even though you can't see them at all. Cleaning can improve- One of the bedsheets was dirty and it was full of hairs, kitchen was a OK.

Awesome spot, except no Wi-Fi

The kitchen was spacious and well stocked. Good hot water and water pressure in the shower.

There was no Internet \Wi-Fi and I believe it had been this way for a while. There were two sets of Wi-Fi information (network name \ SSID and password) and neither neither was broadcasting. Appreciated the lock boxes to be able to check on at anytime. However, I hated that I needed to install the app to access the information. Why couldn't that information be emailed out or passed through the website.

Do not book here. NO WIFI as promised that I needed for work. There was a small random note by lock boxes with alternative wifi details that did not work. No staff on site no response to email messaging nor did booking.com care. Rubbish bins outside overflowing and facility was cold. Waste of money as we had to leave immediately and book elsewhere. No staff or service response for refund for false facility claim has been provided so we are out of pocket for booking alternative place with the wifi needed. .

Excellent for what is advertised as a hostel. I read reviews that were not so good and I really do not know why, perhaps they were expecting a 4 star hotel which it is not and the proprietor makes that clear.

We stayed for only one night. 10 days ago, and out daughter has still the scars from the bites.

Τhis hostel is in a lovely location, and we had a big enough room, which is the only good thing I can say about it.

My husband and daughter had the misfortune to be bitten by bedbugs, My daughter so severely that we had to visit pharmacies throughout the rest of the trip to get medication for her. The bite marks were all over her body, including her face and they are still visible now, 10 days later. When we woke up, and saw the bites, we looked carefully the wooden beds, and all 5 of them were full of bed bugs and their eggs. This situation totally destroyed the girl's pleasure in the trip. When we phoned the owner to inform him, he said he would send someone to check and let us know what he found. There was no further contact from him, even though I have told him that all the mattresses were infected. The sheets were a dark blue color so the bugs were not immediately obvious. Despite repeated phone calls and e-mails, he never contacted us again. My advice to anyone contemplateing a stay at this place is STAY AWAY!

Disappointing.

The kitchen has plenty of space, is well-lit with daylight and lamps, and has a few appliances, so it is possible to cook there. The area is quiet, clean and safe. The information to arrive was clear.

There was no wifi whatsoever, so I had to rely on data to contact friends and search for information about the area. The bathroom was outside the room and, although it had a sign indicating it was just for my room, it ended up being used by everybody in the facility. That meant e.g. I ran out of toilet paper. It was difficult to keep the kitchen clean or to dry the dishes with kitchen cloths that were the same for the whole week. The beds were not comfortable.

The checkin und checkout was easy and smooth.

It was completely unsanitary and unclean. I’m quite sure that one of the beds had bedbugs. The kitchen was full of empty beercans and smelled like alcohol.

A nightmare

Really nothing

Strongly not recommended! Luckily we stayed here for just one night. Throughout the night we were cold and there was no possibility to turn on the radiators. As soon as we woke up we would have liked to take a shower, but there is no hot water in the structure (not even in the kitchen or in the other rooms). We tried to contact the staff, but there was no response. On the access instructions (after booking) they say "remember that you have booked a hostel, not a hotel", but even the minimum services are not guaranteed under these conditions (I think hot water is one of them). This place shouldn't be available for rent. Not to mention the cleanliness and smells!).

Onsite parking. Large kitchen available for use. Spacious enough but simple triple room.

While I appreciate this runs like a hostel, the facilities could have been better. The room initially seemed OK, but once you walked around barefoot or in socks it was clear the floor of both the bedroom and shower room were not fully clean. The air vent in the shower room was filthy with dust. While I accept this is low budget place, there wasn't even soap for handwashng! Amazing given COVID & all other germs are still out there. The shower head was poor and the controls for the shower swivelled around completely, meaning it took 10 minutes to just try and get it to a temperature that wouldn't burn you. The shower leaked out onto the bathroom floor. A hairdryer would have been nice to have in the room. Only half of the spot light bulbs in the room worked. The bed was creaky and the mattress soft. Only 1 pillow per bed and no spares if needed. The floors creaked, the door handles squeaked (no sneaking to the loo in the night).And you could hear the noise of conversation from other rooms.
