A short distance from rafting, birdwatching, and more, this pet-friendly cottage lets you experience it all. Jump into your car and make short work of the 8-minute drive to Quinta da Aveleda or the 8-minute drive to Monte Castro Mozinho Ruins (and enjoy the property's convenient onsite parking in the meantime).

This cute farmhouse gets the evening, rather than morning, sun - and we had very relaxing evening meals on the west facing patio. The pool is unheated except by the sun, so we only had a few short swims (in late September). There is a nice village square within walking distance, or a short drive, with a decent cafe/bakery. The farmhouse is in the small town of Cete, which is just a few kilometers from the excellent "A" (toll) road system in Portugal.
