Casona luxury-charm Asturias. Ribadesella Llanes. Spectacular views of the Sella

Off the beaten path but still within striking distance of beaches and mountains, this is a beautifully presented house. Our group of 8 had a wonderful time here. The views are truly spectacular and there is easy walking directly from the door, whether down through the village to the river, or along the river valley. The interior decoration and the equipment was all exceptional, and it’s a lovely kitchen to cook in and dining room to eat. It’s worth noting that access to the house is very tight and if you have a very wide car, may not actually be achievable. There is easy parking for one car, a second will involve Tetris like manoeuvres. Also, there isn’t really a garden as such since the area near the house that could be a garden doubles as the car park.

Lovely quiet property in sleepy Torano. Loved the river we could walk down to for evening cool offs! House is spacious and comfortable with excellent showers and a really useful downstairs basement for storing bikes etc. Some of the rooms are dark as it is an old house and some of the windows are very small. Second floor huge window is the total opposite though with spectacular views over mountains. Highlight of the local area is the undoubtedly the beaches. Isabel and Martha are excellent hosts who are very helpful and easily contactable. They spoke excellent English.

Probably the best property we have rented over the past 20 years of going to Northern Spain. Quiet location but within a short drive of Ribadesella & Cangas de Onis. Great hosts and contact in the village

The Palacio was built in 1701 and is steeped in history with masses of character, we have never stayed anywhere like it, even the internal doors are a sight to behold. It is very spacious and has plenty of room to relax. The bedrooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and we appreciated having an en suite in each room. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking in it. Special thanks to Marta for ensuring we had some food to cook on our first night when the supermarket was closed! We also loved all of the eye catching photography on the walls. The jewel in the crown however is the truly stunning viewing room with the most breathtaking mountain view, the photo really doesn't convey how beautiful that is. We enjoyed many mornings and evenings in that room with our 10 and 12 year old children, playing chess and cards, it is so peaceful. The house is only around 10 minutes drive from Ribadesella, the other reviewers are correct to say that the road up to the house is a little tight but your parking sensors will make sure you don't hit anything and once you get used to it the drive is fine. Ribadesella is a lovely seaside town and we really enjoyed the beach there on most days. We spent one day kayaking up the Sella river from Ariondas (would recommend Rumbo Norte for a booking) that was a very memorable and amazing experience. We also spent a day in Oviedo which is a lovely city with a fantastic art gallery. We had a great holiday in Asturias and staying at the Palacio made it very special. Would highly recommend. We will most certainly return.
