About this apartment rental
Welcome ! Our large, bright, well furnished apartment is all you need for a wonderful stay in the beautiful Comino Valley. The medieval town of San Donato is a short walk away and there is a great swimming pool, bar, sports ground right next to us.
The space
The apartment benefits from a large balcony (approx 28ft x 24ft) some of which is shaded. There is plenty of room for relaxing on loungers and eating al fresco whilst enjoying stunning views. Overall space is a generous 179m2.
Guest access
We have a small grassed outside space which has a large palm tree. Feel free to sit and relax here. There is also ample parking space outside the front door and also across the road (shared).
Interaction with guests
Our neighbours are at close hand should you need any assistance. They are fluent in Italian with some English. We will provide a list of local restaurants and things to do and there is ample information in the apartment.
The neighbourhood
The town of San Donato is very picturesque and part the Abruzzo National Park. There are bars, traditional restaurants and a Sunday market. There are also lots of local shops, gas station, bakers, pharmacy and small supermarkets. There are numerous festivals throughout the year with the main one being in August. We have a vantage point to see the fireworks from our balcony.
Getting around
The best way to explore the area is by car. There are many lovely villages and towns in the valley and indeed you may like to explore further afield. The nearest large town is Cassino (30KM) 30 mins. Rome(133KM) - 1 hr 45 min and Naples (129KM) - 1 hr 40 min drive away We are in the middle of these two wonderful cities. The beaches of Scauri (68 KM) - 1hr, Gaeta (79 KM) - 1hr 15 min and Sperlonga (92KM) - 1hr 25 mins drive away. You could even do a day trip to the Amalfi coast. Sorrento is 171KM - 2hr 30 mins. For skiers we are close to Forca d'Acero (21KM) 30 mins and Pescasseroli (36KM) 1hr drive.
Other things to note
We are fortunate to live next to the local Sports facilities including outdoor swimming pool and baby pool, tennis courts, football and a snack bar for refreshments.
House Rules
No smoking. Not suitable for pets. Check-in is after 4PM
Please treat our home as you would your own and respect our lovely neighbours. (no pets and no smoking please).
