A place to which you want to return with pleasure.

Guests arriving at Pension Zur alten Mühle are greeted by exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. The apartment I chose is located on the basement floor, which has its advantages: no adjacent rooms, close proximity to the ski storage room, proximity to the spa and wellness area, and access to a separate entrance to the building. The kitchen is very well equipped – like-new dishes and cutlery, a large refrigerator, hob, coffee maker, and kettle. There's even a mini dining area for two. The bed is large and comfortable. The internet is fast, and the TV offers a wealth of satellite TV and radio channels. In short, it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day of skiing. The spa and wellness area deserves special praise. The hosts have done everything to make it an exceptionally comfortable area – the best I've ever used (in my travels, I usually choose hotels and guesthouses with saunas).

Don't leave your stuff there as it will 'disappear'

Make sure you don't leave anything there as it will disappear. Otherwise quite ok and close to the gondola / main road. Comfy bed, and clean room.

I forgot my baseball cap and sunglasses in the room (worth about 100 euros) and it 'disappeared'. Breakfast is very very late at 7.30 so need to eat in 10 mins and run to the slopes if you want to be early. So in the rush I left my things in the room. Tried to contact property but i was told items were 'not found'. There's no 'lost and found' department.

The location of the pension is very good. Calm and quiet area. Just a few minutes on feet to the bus stop and it takes a few minutes to get to the ski lift. The apartment was great! Very spacious, convenient and very clean. Nice sauna and a place to chill after sauna.

There’s no big choice for the breakfast and the vegetables looked that they were laying for some time, but if you ask the owner prepares fresh scramble eggs and it’s great!

Nice hotel located close to the ski bus

Hotel was clean and check-in time was flexible. Area around hotel is very nice, and you have view for the mountains. Breakfast was tasty. Hotel is located close to the ski bus.

It was strange for us that hotel offers additional menu for breakfast, but you are not asked about it once you enter a breakfast room. We had impression that owner don't want to prepare it, as to order it you have to search and look around between rooms for a person to ask about it. Not a great act of hospitality.

The staff/owner is very nice. The place itself is very atmospheric, it feels like you live in an alpine house. It looks small but has all the amenities! The ski room is very convenient and there is also a skibus stop nearby.

Walk 10-15 minutes to the center or bus. But the location is very quiet. So there are some positives to that as well.

Fabulous, I would definitely come again.

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews (I'm ashamed to say) but I felt compelled to leave one for this place because it was so good. I've done a lot of skiing in the Alps and stayed in a variety of 3-4 star places, and a lot of the time you end up paying quite a lot for not much. This was entirely the opposite; the room size was really generous, the facilities were clean and excellent, and the breakfast was super. Coupled with a super friendly host who was very helpful in his suggestions. The sauna and relaxation room downstairs were a particular highlight - a space that nice is extremely rare for this type (and cost) of accommodation and made the end of the skiing day particularly pleasant. The walk to the nearest ski-lift up the Giggijoch is easy (5-10 mins without ski clobber, which you can leave at the lift) and although there are regular buses which make journeying very quick, we found ourselves choosing to walk into town. Not a bad idea for walking off the meat / cheese... Great resort for skiing, we came in late March and were very lucky with the conditions, but I understand that on the glacier it's pretty good most of the season round anyway. And super easy and quick from Innsbruck Airport.

The beds and pillows were quite soft so those who require firm mattresses / pillows might find it a change, but that's nitpicking really. Ski hard enough and you'll sleep just fine...

Wonderful hosts

Only stayed for one night before a multiple-day hike in the area, but we had an amazing time! Roswitha and Rudi were exceptionally accommodating and extremely helpful with very last-minute arrangements of shuttle bus tickets that ended up saving the rest of our trip. We would definitely stay again, we felt very very welcomed and truly at home.

Highly recommended!

Located at the entrance to Sölden, but gondola lifts, entrance to mountain hikes or restaurants are located in a short walking distance. Parking in front of a hotel, clean, comfortable room, decent breakfast, good coffee. We were surprised by a free 3-day Ötztal tourist card, which helped saving money on several attractions.
