Superb hotel and spa with beautiful lake and mountain views

Beautiful spa hotel, good value for what you get with 3/4 board. Delicious food, beautiful hikes, indulging spa with lake access. Also really appreciated that one could use the spa until 1pm on the day of departure.

It was very warm in the room and in the facilities in general, which is both uncomfortable and unecological. Not sure if this was just the waste heat emitted by the spa, or if they actually volutarily over-heat the place. We had to keep the window open 24/7.

Wonderful hotel in beautiful location. Everything just perfect. Very friendly staff! Great food! Super clean rooms! Felt very pampered and had a very relaxing stay.

The hotel is in a gorgeous location and everything is really great. Of course there ist the price, as in all hotels of the same category and obviously this can't be helped much, but we would definitely consider visiting more often if it was just a tad bit cheaper, or rather maybe, if there were a couple of reduced booking options available... During our visit there was a big wedding that somehow was part of the normal hotel dinner buffet. The restaurant is very large and open and the party was in a separate room but would still come to the buffet for food and this was maybe a tiny bit disruptive for hotel guests who might have been looking for a quiet dinner, as the wedding guests were just a bit more happy and animated and forming little groups, than a normal evening crowd... Not a big deal, and not even sure if this was something the hotel could even have foreseen, but indeed the only not so perfectly great thing we could think of. Everything else was wonderful and we certainly will come back!

Stunning location.Eibsee is one of the most beautiful lakes i have ever visited and the hotel is located at the like.My hotel room had gorgeous view at the lake.The room was clean,the bed was comfortable.The hotel had a reataurant and food was good.The staff were all very nice too.

The location is simply breathtaking – right on the lake with stunning views in every direction. Our panoramic suite overlooking both the mountains and the lake was unforgettable – waking up to that view just couldn’t get better. A truly special place to stay at the foot of the Zugspitze.

Wonderful stay at the Eibsee Hotel

The hotel offers an excellent value for money 💶 : the room was comfortable and the included half-board very convenient. The meals were varied and delicious 🍴, definitely up to expectations. The restaurant has huge panoramic windows overlooking the lake 🌊 – a true highlight, especially at breakfast when I loved starting my day with such a stunning view. My room had a terrace with an amazing view of both Lake Eibsee and the mountains 🏔️💙 – such a privilege to wake up to that scenery! The hotel also provides great amenities: direct access to the private beach 🏖️ with kayaks and paddle boards 🚣‍♀️🛶 to explore the lake. A magical and refreshing experience. I didn’t get the chance to try the spa 💆‍♀️, but it’s available and adds to the already well-rounded offer. The surroundings are just as exceptional: Lake Eibsee is one of the most beautiful in Germany 🌿, located at the foot of the Zugspitze 🚡. Whether walking around the lake or going up to the summit, there’s plenty to enjoy! 👉 In short: a wonderful hotel in a unique setting, perfect both for relaxing and exploring this stunning region.

- Prime location at Eibsee, with train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze lift next door - Spa facilities - Direct Eibsee lake access, go straight from spa into the lake - SUP usage with no additional charge - Swimming in lake - Free transportation card - Nice practical backpack available in the room to use for walking in area or going to Zugspitze

- Lack of drinks menu with prices - Somewhat confusing setup with buffet dinner one night and dining menu another night - would have preferred to be given the choice and be informed upon checkin

Excellent breakfast and dinner-it feels like a luxurious restaurant. Free Kayak to use and access to a private beach. Location is next to the Zugspitzebahn. The hotel has its own parking lot so you don't need to worry about no parking. I enjoyed a free boat trip.

No air condition. Due to climate change, it will be hotter every year in summer. My room was overlooking the lake but it was basically looking at the lake through a roof with some moss/grass growing to cover it. This should be disclosed or shown in photos.

THE ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR BETWEEN EIBSEE AND BOOKING.COM WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND EMBARRASSING

The hotel was perfect as was the staff. We have stayed at this hotel previously and have always enjoyed it. Please note that we HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE INTERFACE BETWEEN THE EIBSEE AND BOOKING.COM. THIS COST ME ADDITIONAL MONEY. IT MUST BE RESOVED AND REIMBURSED IMMEDIATELY. SEE BELOW

I have an e-mail from Booking.com dated 15 October 2024 reflecting that I had reserved two double rooms with lake view for four persons with half board - breakfast and dinner from 11-16 May, 2025. We we traveling with friends and I made the reservation in my name, William Torpey for both rooms. I paid 5240 Euros for these two rooms. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that we had only paid for one person (William Torpey) in each double room and that I would have to pay for the breakfasts and dinners for the other two. This was clearly a mistake and it was very embarrassing in front of our guests. I spent a week trying to solve this mystery, but didn't have access to all my files back in the USA so I wound up paying extra for two additional people. The document that the Eibsee Hotel had from Booking.com indicated only one guest per room. This is unacceptable and it essentially ruined our vacation trying to figure out what went wrong. I AM HOME NOW AND HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION I NEED TO ADDRESS THIS DEBACLE, BUT I NEED A DEDICATED BOOKING.COM REPRESENTATIVE, TELEPONE LINE AND E-MAIL TO PROVIDE ALL MY SUPPORTING EVIDENCE. THIS SURVEY IS NOT THE PROPER FORMAT FOR THIS EXCHANGE. PLEASE SEND ME A NAME AND E-MAIL ADDRESS OF ONE OF YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES SO WE CAN RESOLVE THIS SIGNIFICANT ADMINMISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL ERROR. THANKS, BILL TORPEY

This is a perfect getaway for relaxation in the midst of the German Alps.

I enjoyed my stay so thoroughly that I decided to add another night! The location is amazing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The 3/4 pension really includes 3 full meals as the afternoon “snacks” were enough for lunch. I can’t wait to return!

Perfect relax with breathtaking views!

This hotel has always been a jem in the skirts of the Alps, but now it is even better. All renewed and beautifuly designed. The staff is as always right on spot, very proffesional and polite. Free parking at the property. Perfect location with gorgeous views over the Eibsee lake and Zugspitze - the top of Germany. The restaurant offers quality fresh and gourmet food. The bar has the friendliest, knowledgeable and proffesional bartender. Will alwayshughly recommend! The SPA - facilities are the chery of the pie.

Excellent place to stay the visiting Garmisch area.

We have stayed in Hotel many times in past and it always is a delight. Staff very helpful, with waiters for both evening meals friendly and helpful. Location excellent with beautiful views of Lake and Mountains. Room was large and quiet with a nice bath in bathroom. Sauna/Spa area had been updated since our last visit and very nice. Parking area very useful.
