City Hotel Frankfurt Bad Vilbel

Nice, generously sized, beautiful rooms with a little minibar. Unique style. Free parking. Friendly staff.

The breakfast was a bit bland for the price, but ok. The hotel is quite remote from the town. Probably the slowest elevator between the lobby, rooms, and the parking that I ever witnessed.

Location close to forest, Breakfast 15 Euro is okayish, but no overly good quality (e.g. coffee)

Taking a shower takes some patience to adjust the heat. Bathroom has a nice old look but not being able to keep the temperature during shampooing and turn the shower off is a bit annoying. Most scary was the boss of the accomodation who screamed at me and threatended to kick me out in the middle of the night. I did ask the employee for a ventilator and one free breakfast. Temperature during Hessen days exceeded 35 degree on a daily basis and the afternoon sun was heating up my room (no airocon at all) in a horrible way, unless i closed the dark curtains 24/7. I didnt use the room service and additonally asked for a free breakfast in exchange, as the room service usually includes filling u the minibar for free usage. And also as a small gesture regarding the unbearable temperature which made my room unusable between 1-6pm and not a nice place to stay for neither me but especially not my husky. The employee of the hotel politly declined and i was fine with that. I just mentioned that then i cannot give a good review (meaning i will give none). The owner of the hotel - his boss -overheard that part and screamed at me, said, for free is on the street, i can leave the hotel, he can kick me out any time. He screamed if i had aircon at home etc. I felt very intimidated and threated and said I will call the police if he does that at 1:30 am (just had gotten back from a late walk with my dog and was glad to have my dog at my side being threatend like that). I went upstairs and didnt feel comfortable in my room any longer, as the boss surely has access. I wet down again to talk to the employee who could calm me down by saing the boss had already left. Very strange policy the boss has. The normal polite no of the employee was fine and I had already accepted that but obviously it triggered him when i said i cannot give a good review. Didnt mean i wanted to give a bad one, but well, now he deserves one. And the issue of his behaviour out here.

Literally nothing. If I really scratch the bottom of the barrel, then the fact that parking was included.

Where do we start. We saw 3 cockroaches in the room, the pillows smelled dirty upon arrival and THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. Upon complaining to the reception about the points above, nothing could be done except changing the sheets. The most disappointing thing was actually the staff’s attitude. Whenever I brought up these concerns, they didn’t care and were annoyed that we were bringing this up. We asked to print two copies of a document and the front desk went to ask his manager if this could be done for free (we’re talking like 8 papers max in total). He comes back and prints them and hands them to me - I was pleasantly surprised until he put his hand out and asked for €8 😂 I returned the papers and got them printed at the hotel next door where I wasn’t even staying for free!!!

Great breakfast buffet, cleanness, Spa centre and helpful staff.

Location for driving car to see Frankfurt. Bus line at Hotel and approximately 20 minutes to heart of city. Close to US Consulate. Free parking and hotel was in good condition. Breakfast staff helpful.

Hot breakfast items (eggs, sausage, bacon), lukewarm at best. Storage containers either insufficient or heat turned off. Cook brought hot breakfast a hundred feet from kitchen across open lounge area in open metal containers. First day coffee machine produced warm coffee, second day hot. Overall breakfast just okay but has potential to be great if management wants. Beds were a bit hard.
