Beautiful garden with pool, perfect for relaxing. Great location, close to the beach for swimming and learning to surf and to restaurants. Beautiful, good sized and clean rooms and very friendly staff.

Beautiful welcome to Mexico

The hotel coordinated a driver from the airport. As soon as we arrived, we felt really well accommodated. Luis and the staff were very helpful and provided a beautiful room. My wife and I found it really close to restaurants and a relaxing and safe neighborhood. The cleaning staff were really friendly and did a great job. We will plan to return when we come back.

There were no issues with our stay. If you have mobility issues staying on the lower level would be easier. Since we are a young couple there were no problem with stairs.

Wonderful stay on a beautiful property!

The grounds are beautiful with stunning flowering plants everywhere and lovely pool. The suite is large and beautifully decorated, with a separate living room and cute kitchen. Staff was very kind and attentive.

Lovely charming family-run hotel with great facilities

The gardens are delightful and facilities excellent. The charm of the outdoor space is old world while the rooms are modern and bright. We were only there for one night, but the facilities to stay longer term were ample and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. A few minutes’ walk to some great restaurants and the beach. Breakfast was fresh and very good. The owner kindly made a beetroot and carrot smoothie for me, which was delicious. A well-run family hotel that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Location was perfect. Central and close to swimming beaches. Short cab rides to everything else. Walking distance to most things we needed!

Room 9 was nice and quiet. Top floor with a great balcony. Had some water come in on the bed from rain seeping through the roof. Only rained one night. Cockroaches exist! I put the toaster in the freezer so they kind of took care of some of that. But it’s tropical, gotta expect bugs. Doors and windows don’t seal completely so whatever creeps in…

The attention to details in the rooms make it special!

Our 2nd stay and will continue to come back. You are welcomed with a cold wine glass of non-alcohol hibiscus flower drink! The owner was so kind and the staff exceptional. Our room gorgeous as before. The large pool was set in a lush garden. Lots of chaise lounges and tables. We love the Suites La Hacienda and their sweet kitties Niñon and Coco. A few block walk to the Main Street, restaurants, pharmacy and beach a hike down steps.. but worth it!

Service was extremely slow, to get the morning coffee it took 20-30 min. every morning, the included breakfast was a joke, normally be should be able to choose whatever from the menus without extra charge, as in any other 4-5 star hotel, fruit juice, pancake, bagel should be included.

Excellent location, close to the main beaches in Corazolillo and Rinconcido, with plenty of cafés and restaurants within walking distance. The facilities were very good, the rooms were spacious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free.

Beautiful hotel away from the hustle and bustle

The hotel is in a nice, quiet area of Puerto Escondido. The gardens and pool area were stunning and the room was very comfortable.

It would have been good to have had mosquito nets on the windows in the rooms because there were A LOT of mosquitos day and night. Also, the toilet in our room was just behind a screen door, rather than in a room you could close, which could be pretty embarassing if it's your first trip as a couple!

The location was actually better than I expected. Very easy walk to groceries and restaurants. Breakfast was reasonably priced and "home cooked" Staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds and pool are gorgeous.

We expected stairs, but they were a lot for some in our group. My room #19 would benefit from some blinds on the kitchen windows. the beds in the kitchen could be replaced with 2 hide a beds.

Beautifully landscaped, rooms are quaint and historic, stocked with everything you may need to cook. Pool and Bar wonderful! We are sorry to be here for only one night. The host Luis was very accommodating! We’ll come again.

We had an exceptional stay here and the customer service we received was the best we had experienced in Puerto Escondido. Luis was very kind and welcoming at reception and we were delighted to be greeted with a mocktail and shown to our room after sleeping in hostels for the week! The staff could not have been more helpful or professional and the property is beautiful.

Peaceful and quiet comfort and leisure amid a hidden garden of beauty.

The hotel is a gorgeous pocket of comfort and quiet tucked away from the bustle of Puerto Escondido, but conveniently close to all the beaches. A perfect vacation spot. The room was immaculate and provided a phenomenal view of the sea. The staff were courteous and considerate. We would have happily stayed for a month, if we could!

The property is beautiful and well kept. The pools is Nice. The rooms were spacious and with above average decor. However, cockroaches are unacceptable and we saw quite a few in both rooms so that was very disappointed.

This hotel is excellent: it’s got personality and beauty, as well as comfort. Felt like a safe haven after exploring PE.

So pretty: full of plants, flowers, character, bit of mystery. Felt like I was in a Mexican novel. Loved the clean pool, the friendly staff, the spaciousness and furniture of the rooms. Didn’t want to leave!

I didn’t really like the European-like shower doors that dont seal off the shower area completely. Wishes the water got a bit hotter. Not a deal-breaker though.

Beautiful Garden Oasis

The grounds were absolutely stunning. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful to look at. The pool was amazing, perfect temperature, and pretty clean. The room was also well equipped, especially if you are staying for more than a night or two. The AC in our bedroom was absolutely necessary and much appreciated. The entire staff was thoughtful all smiles.

I know it is location specific and bugs are not entirely avoidable, but we had quite a few ants and some larger bugs that had been smashed on the walls and not cleaned. Our bathroom counter had quite a few ants. Our biggest issue was the ability to get drinks/snacks. Getting cash is so difficult. Being at a hotel where you can use card for your stay but not drinks/snacks is frustrating. We had hoped to sit by the pool and have cocktails,, but needed to save our precious pesos for cab fare and emergencies, as the closest ATMS (>20 min walk) were all out of money. For that reason alone, we would probably consider a different location that offered that amenity even though we loved the Hacienda.
