Hotel Silken Don Pepe y Don Pepe Ría

Seafront location, clean, easy to find, breakfast was ok, garage was clean. Staff doing their best under, I suspect, difficult circumstances…there was a slight air of unease.

Our room, 310, had a pitched roof and velux window. You could only open the window with the shutters up. There was no air conditioning so it was a choice between blackout and sweatbox or breaking the rules. As a result we had mosquitos to contend with and a bad nights sleep. The room is badly designed. Access to one side of the double bed requires extreme care not to hit your head. The toilet roll holders in the bathroom are sited where they’re guaranteed to get soaked…just poorly designed. Room would be more suitable as a storeroom. Oh, and a beachfront hotel that doesn’t do beach towels is a bit disappointing. Not good value for money.

Fantastic view on the bay and the beach from the premium room we booked. Absolutely gorgeous to hear the surf when the balcony door left open.

Bit noisy, hearing doors and talking of neighbours

Lovely dinner and breakfast. Location is great and next to the beautiful surfing beach.

15 minutes walk from the train station, and uphill going back.
