Golden Hotel

A great place to stay in the heart of Bishkek. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast is plentiful but not to our liking. Plenty of cafes around if you need.

The front-desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very convinient. It's about 15 minutes walk to the Ala-Too Square along a shaded street lined with univerity campus and residential areas. The all-day free coffee in the breakfast area is a plus.

Friendly staff and nice breakfast, comfortable beds and clean rooms

I don't like marking places down, however the reason for the low score is a lack of fridge in the room, we had to ask at reception for them to put our items in their fridge so unable to keep drinks cool (the staff were helpful enough helping out with this) not enough power points, no tea and coffee facilities in room, I appreciate that these were in the communal area but not great if you need to get dressed before going out of your room! Our door (7) was really difficult to access with the card and took 6/7 attempts each time, and we needed to do some laundry but was told that it would be 1 dollar per item, which meant that a wash of our undies and a few other items would have been rather pricey! Air con wasn't efficient and very noisy! No complaints about the staff overall, the bed was comfortable and room was a sufficient size, we didn't need to spend a significant amount of time there, but just wanted to note these things as the reason I chose this hotel was because of the good reviews!
